Caution: Brown Kraft Easy Close Envelope

The 9" x 12" Brown Kraft Easy Close Catalog Envelope has the potential to be very useful and in many respects crucial to all offices that Mail critical documents (or catalogs). However there is a precaution that all users are encouraged to carefully observe. The self adhesive strip does not always remain sealed and it is possible for the envelope to become unsealed during mailing and to potentially allow documents to fall out of the envelope. In fairness this is not an always occurrence but since on more than one occasion this has been the case with some of our mailings it is appropriate to mention. This is a product that is needed and hopefully a better adhesive can be incorporated into the product design.

The seams split on 3 out of the first 11 we used.

Maybe I got a bad batch...the seams split. They're not very durable for anything other than sheets of letter sized paper. 2 small blocks of 5 x 7" index cards each about a half inch thick caused these to fail in shipping. I already used some so we didn't return the box.

I like the feature of peel and close rather than licking to close. Plus for the low cost I did not have to pay extra to have it non-see through. This is why I chose this product to send personal papers through the mail.
