Reduced quality of product from previous envelopes

I have purchased the same #10 security business envelopes from Staples for over 10 years for the same end-of-year mailing for our business (over 1000 pieces sent out each year). The envelopes pictured on the the website looked the same as usual but were not even close to the quality that I received in previous years. The 2 boxes of 500 were at least 2" shorter than before indicating that the paper used (even though it said 24 lb weight) was not nearly as heavy. Placed on a postal scale it was only about 3/4 the weight of previous years. The interior blue security printing was not as dark and worst of all the self adhesive strip was only half as wide allowing for the closure flap to open in transit. I had to return them as they were unacceptable compared to the previous product. A good example of not raising the price just reduce the quality or size of the product to add more profit. NOT a good way to keep customers!

In the past year or so the quality of the adhesive on your envelopes has gone. I use a lot of the #10 envelopes and the booklet envelopes 6 x 9 and many times I have to tape them shut because the adhesive doesn't stick.

Several of the envelopes in the box were NOT the easy close type. They were the kind you have to lick. Also one was ripped and taped back together. Shoddy stuff!!!!

I have been well pleased with the product. the best I have found for the money. The fold over closure was a little tricky the first few times but it is a better seal than the previous ones I was using with the pull off strip. the delivery was fast and professional.

Not so 'easy close'!

These envelopes don't seal! They have 'Peel-and-stick adhesive' but they don't stick! I have to tape them all before mailing! Won't be buying again. Unfortunately they came in a box of 500!!
