Failed me in my time of need

I am a professor and bought this display easel to hold a light whiteboard for an in-person class held outside. It is nice and light for carrying around but that is where the benefits end. At the beginning of the week I tested out setting it up at home and all was fine. On Tuesday I folded it up and brought it to campus. When I went to set it up one of the telescoping legs would not extend no matter how hard I tried. I ended up having to keep the legs collapsed and just set it on a table. I was disgruntled but figured when I brought it home I could use a rubber jar opener for better grip. Alas. On Thursday when I tried to use it in for Zoom lecture at home TWO of the three telescoping legs would not extend. I shudder to think what would happen if I try to use it for class a third time. I will be returning this expensive yet nonfunctional easel.

Rated to 20lb could not take a whiteboard that weighed 19lb. Nice that it had the optional flip chart clip but not great. The mechanism for locking telescopic legs was fragile and unreliable.

I brought this product to hold my post-it 2-in-1 board to teach online summer school. It worked like a champ. The clip to hold the board extends enough to clip in the post-it board. The clips on the bottom are sturdy enough to hold the board and the legs are strong enough for me to write and erase on. Keep in mind this is not going to be as sturdy as a white board nor do I know how well it will clip a poster but for what I am using it for it works great. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I had to return the first one because one of the legs would not extend no matter how hard I pulled. So be careful how hard you collapse the legs they can get stuck.

I purchased two of these easels before an event. In one of the easels two of its legs did not extend even after four different people attempted to twist/pull as instructed and I was unable to use the product. For the other easel it took multiple attempts to retract one of the legs after use. This is obviously a poorly designed and manufactured product.
