I can't do without this but it could be improved

I am both quality and value oriented, and this notebook ticks both boxes for me. It serves both business and personal purposes. I use it mostly as a day planner -- it's flexible enough to fill as many pages per day as I need, and to skip days without wasting paper. It's size and light weight make it very portable while still offering a spacious, uncluttered page design. I can take notes, make lists, record information to enter into my phone calendar or contact list later, and file or recycle pages I don't need to carry with me. My only complaint is that the thin paper isn't very opaque; most gel pens and roller balls "ghost," and many bleed through, too. I've settled on Jetstream hybrid ink in the 0.7 tip size but would be happier with better paper. It is nice and smooth, though, and doesn't wrinkle. The notebook would be even better if the back cover were stiff enough to support writing without a table or other hard service. However, I wouldn't want a plain brown cardboard back cover, and I wouldn't want the price to go up significantly, as it is such a good value now.

I bought my first journal over a year ago, replacing each book as it fills. This journal has become my record of events, images and ideas that I later refer to for my "work" as a writer. Ideas I used to jot on open notepads and elsewhere are now cleanly and clearly preserved. I also especially like the shaded area at the bottom of the page which I often use to compose a special insight or poem related to the day's events.
