I do like this shredder specially the auto feed function

I really like this shredder for different reasons, The first one is the size, it is small and does not take much space. The second one is it comes with casters or wheels to move around easily without carrying it. The third one is it has the auto feed that is amazing, I can feed it up to 100 pages, press start and walk away, it shreds them under six minutes, and it stops by itself. If it does get jammed, it will stop, go on reverse and wait for me to take off the paper and this is a plus. The indicators are also easy to read, bin open, bin full, overheated and take off paper. Overall, I think this shredder is perfect for home as well as for a small office. I can shred up to 100 sheets every forty minutes or so.

Excellent Home Office Shredder...EASY, RELIABLE

Considering the last time I bought a shredder was in 2010 and I broke it within a week, I was quite worried the same would happen to this shredder. This shredder doesn't jam. It really is a pleasure to run. The shredder is nice and compact, easy to assemble, easy to move around (on its castor wheels which lock in place) and has a good-sized bin which is (once again) easy to empty. It does have a tendency to overheat quickly so that it would be its only drawback. But I was working with it heavy duty - eight bags of trash! Look. It even spit out a paper clip I mistakenly put in there. This is a great shredder. Definitely invest in the oil sheets to keep your shredder in good shape.

Excellent performance for the price

This micro-cut paper shredder is a "must have" if you want to protect your privacy and render old disposable documents unlegible. Fast, semi-quiet, super fine cut. The item does over heat if you attempt to shred hundreds of pages in one go. Give it 5 minutes and you're back on track. I'm very happy to report that I have experienced zero paper jams.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful review, justannoyed! The 100MA has a 7-minute continuous run time. Continuous operation beyond 7 minutes will trigger a 40-minute cool down period. We recommend allowing it to cool for the full 40 minutes. In addition, the maximum daily shred capacity for this model is 600 sheets (20lb paper). If you have any questions, please give us a call! Absolutely Best Shredder Mfg. Available

Years ago I purchased a industrial size Fellowes 94MC shredder for a small company I owned and our staff ran literally thousands and thousands of pages into it. Unfortunately when I sold the company and retired the 94MC stayed with the new owner. I have now bought the AutoMax 100MA for our home.

Whisper Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My spouse developed Misophonia (a disorder in which certain sounds trigger emotional or physiological responses that some might perceive as unreasonable given the circumstance) for the sound the shredder makes. I could not turn it on if she was in the house. Although I kept it well lubricated, that did not help. The Fellowes Auto Max 100 MA is so quiet that I can use the machine even if she is in the same room! No more waiting until she is out of the house. In addition, I like that it shreds into much smaller pieces than my previous shredder (purchased 2.5 yrs ago), and that it informs me when the bin needs to be emptied. I received this product free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Very Solid Product

Both manual and auto features have worked without any issues. This machine is also very quiet compared to my previous shredder. The added security of the Micro-Cut feature adds much needed security.
