Heavy tape can be used to cover labels

We are a small eBay seller and utilize packaging/boxes that were sent to us. This tape is extremely useful for covering existing bar codes when sealing packages. It is heavy enough that the bar codes or previous address labels are fully obscured.
It sticks to itself so poorly that it falls off a package wherever it crosses itself. That makes it fairly useless as a packing tape as every package I used it on opened in transit. At the most I might use this to close a paper envelope but regular plastic tape is far superior there too. Without fiberglass reinforcement or a better adhesive this is a useless product unless you want a little excitement in your life by constantly wondering if it will hold.
I have used this tape many times and it is my first choice for most lightweight shipping on used cartons. It is very useful for covering old labels to "clean up" the appearance of a re-used box and it's much easier to use than a tape gun dispenser. I have had to return one roll for replacement due to defective adhesive. If you find one like that return it for exchange and give it another try. Some isolated batches may not be manufactured correctly or are stored in humid locations. I do not try to write on it but use just for sealing.
