Tape doesn't stay stuck long

We used this on 6 cardboard shipping boxes. By the time we packed the boxes and took them to Staples for shipping the tape was coming off the boxes in several places.
In sending Registered packages the Post Office required all seams be sealed with paper tape only so they can used their postal stamp pn all seams. This tape just kept pealing off on the Flate Rate Boxes
Small eBay sellers like myself are strongly motivated to keep overhead to a minimum which includes recycling shipping boxes and not overbuying new supplies beyond what we can store and use in a reasonable amount of time. I like to use paper tape instead of markers to cover old writing on shipping boxes but simply can't afford the water-activated paper shipping tape & dispensers. Staples' self-adhesive paper shipping tape comes with its own dispenser (dispensers for plastic tape won't fit paper tape so this is VERY hard to find otherwise) something that other brands of self-adhesive paper tape just don't have. My scissors thus don't get fouled & dull with tape adhesive and can be saved for other purposes. (Paper tape can also be written on or stamped -- something which doesn't work with plastic shipping tape.) A very practical addition to home business/small business shipping supplies!
I bought it with the purpose to seal a parcel to ship overseas.... Unfortunately the tape doesn't remain stuck firmly. To be sure I gave another round of regular clear tape over it. I hope it last the trip!
This product is not kraft paper as described. It is a plastic-backed tape to which labels do not adhere and ink stamps do not work. It's use for a packaging tape is undercut by these characteristics.
Paper packaging tape is used to seal seams of corrugated cartons and sometimes to occlude labels upon reuse of the carton. This doesn't work properly since the surface is plastic (coating?) so ink stamps contact adhesive labels and postal labels and stamps won't adhere. This is bad product design and labeling.
