This tape while strong and seemingly water resistant has one major flaw. The surface is so shiny and lacking of any adhesive friendly attributes that it A) does not allow the shipper to easily write on it B) nothing seems to stick to it (address labels etc.) and C) it doesn't seem to stick to itself very well. I wrapped a small package with it and all of the places where the tape overlapped itself were not sticking well and had to be pressed down many times to allow them to adhere if only temporarily. I eventually gave up and sent the package with fingers crossed.
I bought this tape because it looked the most eco-friendly. The only thing not eco-friendly was the cutter and I could not get the tape by itself. I have tons of scissors at home and I don’t need a cutter. Thank you but the tape works nice and drives me less crazy than the regular tape because it is easiest to handle; opposed to having to find edges on the regular tape and it ending up everywhere including my bed floors and arms. The paper tape comes in handy! I prefer it better than the fiberglass option which is another word for paper wrapped in plastic..
I like to use adhesive paper tape when I wrap packages in brown paper but my main purpose for this tape has been to secure brown paper backings (to keep out dust) on the backs of framed paintings. The tape sticks well to brown paper and wood. So far it has not lifted from either of those materials. The main disadvantage is that it does not stick well to itself (the brown kraft paper is slightly glossy and slick)and easily lifts off when overlapped. I discovered that when I used it for shipping a package. Stick to brown or clear plastic tape if you want to secure cardboard box seams.

Doesn't stick to corrugated cartons

Bought this on recommendation of sales person to tape packing cartons together. I noticed that after a while it came loose from the cartons. What good is tape that doesn't stick?
Doesn’t stay stuck to cardboard shipping boxes the edges start peeling back off after a couple of hours and shipping labels don’t adhere to it. Wouldn’t recommend for shipping boxes or anything that needs to stay sealed for any length of time
