Clear tape is good for covering something that needs to be seen but brown tape good for covering what you don't want to be seen. The post office likes plain boxes and this tape helps cover printed logos and words!!

This tape is "paper" tape but you can not write on it. I needed tape for mailing a document where the envelope required date stamps. This tape has a coating that will not allow any ink to be put on it. I returned the tape.

Paper packaging tape

This tape covers wording/titles on boxes that the post office does not like when mailing with your own box. Holds well although I make sure the ends are secure with clear tape. It would be nice to be able to buy refill tape to go in the dispenser instead of having to throw it away after use. Either that or it should be recycled!

If you recycle boxes like I do it’s often nice to be able to cover up some of the text on the outside of a recycled box. This tape works fantastic for that purpose and does double duty sealing up the openings. Do be careful to smooth the ends of the tape with some hand pressure though as they can tend to pop up.
