Bought it to seal a box for shipping. By the time I got the box to the post office the tape was already peeling off. I had to return home and use a different product to reseal the box.

Multiple uses & convenient dispenser!

Small eBay sellers like myself are strongly motivated to keep overhead to a minimum which includes recycling shipping boxes and not overbuying new supplies beyond what we can store and use in a reasonable amount of time. I like to use paper tape instead of markers to cover old writing on shipping boxes but simply can't afford the water-activated paper shipping tape & dispensers. Staples' self-adhesive paper shipping tape comes with its own dispenser (dispensers for plastic tape won't fit paper tape so this is VERY hard to find otherwise) something that other brands of self-adhesive paper tape just don't have. My scissors thus don't get fouled & dull with tape adhesive and can be saved for other purposes. (Paper tape can also be written on or stamped -- something which doesn't work with plastic shipping tape.) A very practical addition to home business/small business shipping supplies!

does not stick to cardboard

I needed tape to seal boxes for storage. I bought this tape to reduce the amount of plastic I use and because it is recyclable. Unfortunately the tape does not stick to the (new U-Haul) boxes any longer than a day or two. The sides are particularly prone to having the tape loosen and jump off the cardboard. That might be caused by the directional stress of moving the box but a box that cannot be moved is ridiculous. And yes this occurs even when I push the tape with strength onto the box along the entire length. Very disappointing. It gets one star for good environmental intentions. Otherwise it stinks.

I was in a bind trying to locate packing tape and this came in clutch. The tape quality is great. My only complaint is that the adhesive takes a lil long to set once you apply it to the box material. Once it does it’s solid.
