This magnifier really isn’t a magnifier in the true sense of the word. I would call it a enlarger. If you were reading a book and needed the font to be a little larger this would work.

My father is in his eighties and has difficulty reading anything. This didn't work any better than reader glasses which he already has. There is some image distortion around the edges. The 2x magnification just isn't enough for him.
