Staples recently claimed they change the packaging on their Basic Photo paper but the paper was the same. This is completely false. The paper is different and it is worse. I used to use the Basic Photo paper to print out board game elements so I really liked that this was one of the only photo papers that I could print on both sides and have it still look nice. That isn't the case any more. They back has a blue tint to it and a weird texture so the prints come out looking awful. Not happy with this new change

This paper has a high gloss finish which is good however the weight (thickness) of the paper is thin that it curls. Unless you plan to place photos printed on this paper into a photo album or inside a clear protective sleeve I recommend the heavier weight more expensive paper.
