We use tape for packaging boxes for UPS shipping. This works every bit as good as name brands.

All of the Staples tape that I looked at were pricey. This was the cheapst one and I decided to try it and see.

What a surpise.

My entire shipping department is consisted of Staples Brand products but never the tape. So I decided to give it a try. Bummer- flimsy and cheap feeling. For the extra $ I will go ahead and spring for the name brand tape next time. Good deal for storage but shipping boxes cross country I get nervous which leads to over taping packages and ugly presentation. A Pro is that for the $ you receive lots of packing tape. Only Staples Brand Product I will not purchase again.

Not the bargain I though I was getting

I have bought Staples branded tape in the past It was almost as expensive as 3M but of equivalent quality. When I saw this 6-pack I thought I was getting a bargain for buying in bulk. When I put the first roll on the tape gun I realized my mistake. It is thin though it may be strong. But a drop of static makes it twist on itself and sticks the adhesive surfaces together forcing me to throw out a couple of feet of product. This does NOT happen with the more expensive tape. But in the store I did not notice any visible difference in the product description.

Tape tends to tear off at various angles where you don't want it to causing time wasted in finding the end now securely stuck down on the roll. I prefer to spemd more and get the heavier tape.
