The main difference in pricing of tapes is the thickness of the plastic. This is thinner than the more expensive 3M Brand but works fine sealing boxes for shipment on FedEx and USPS.

we have tried many brand-name tapes. staples tape worked held the box ends together. holds 50lbs without peeling away from the boxes.

This was to replace a major brand's tape which did not adhere to packages making me very unsure that the contents would arrive in tact. This tape was easy to use adhered well and was much cheaper per roll.
