Does the Job

Good product at a fair price. Not so thick that I feel I'm wasting it for taping up boxes but sturdy enough to feel secure that it will hold.

A cheap alternative to name brand tape

This is not something to use if you desire quality but then again this is tape so who cares?! Compared to name brands like Scotch this Staples brand feels like a cheap knockoff and it is. The adhesiveness makes it difficult to unroll when taping large surfaces like the top of a box. Vertical marks are left throughout as the roll uncoils. The horrible glue smell is the first thing you will notice. When the tape sits unused for too long it has a habit of suddenly tearing of more literally snapping off during use. The adhesiveness also dries out. But for the price compared to name brands you are paying less than half for the Staples brand. To compensate for the shortcomings just tape an extra layer and do it both vertically and horizontally over box lids to keep the lids sealed. Wasting more cheap tape still comes out cheaper than using a name brand roll single-layered. Face it this product is for those who want to package boxes and not spend too much. Do I care if my pen cost $0.50 or $500? As long as it can write it fulfills the job. Same concept with this tape.

I have family in South America as well as Germany and friends all over the US. I like to give gifts therefore I send packages and the tape is just perfect for that.

I use this tape for a great number of things from sealing stuff to throw away to sealing boxes to patching tears in tarps to just about anything

Packaging Tape

Purchase was packaging tape for an upcoming move. We need to pack several boxes for the move and need reliable tape. This product meets our needs and will be easy to remove when opening the boxes when we unpack in our new house.
