Humidity? Tape not so sticky!

I bought this tape to use in my heavy duty professional tape dispenser (one of those big handled things that helps you dispense tape apply pressure with a metal blade and tear all with one hand) in order to pack 36 boxes ~2 cubic feet each. It was mid-June and I had to move fast to pack up my office--books file folders. I've moved a lot; my dad was a shipping expert and his lessons have served me well. This tape was only so-so: I was shocked to see that some of the tape was curling up off the ends of some of the finished boxes while I was still packing others! I had carefully laid three strips down the top of each (new) moving box (so I don't think the problem was dust/dirt on the cardboard) with an overhang of at least 5 inches down each side pressing down all the way around. Not ~every~ box came undone and it WAS humid--but the tape struck me was somewhat thin and obviously I walked away from the job wondering whether the tape would even stay stuck till the movers arrived much less after. I had to travel the next two weeks and haven't had a chance to see how the boxes are doing now--whether more have come undone. I re- pressed and re-taped across the ends that had come undone before I left--I'm hoping that will have done the trick. But these are heavy boxes--so I'm wondering if the tape will prove strong enough.

Staples® Standard-Grade Packaging Tape

This Staples brand Standard-Grade Packaging Clear tape is excellent to use. It holds extremely well on paper and boxes. The tape is clear and label are easy to read. It is priced very well and less than other major brands. I have been using this tape exclusively for the past five years in my shipping department and would not switch to another brand. It comes in a six roll package as well as a three roll and twelve roll. The rolls are long lasting and measures 1.89" x 54.7". I highly recommend this tape.

Decent price decent product

Working in an office that does shipping we need shipping tape that actually adheres well. We've had several issue in the past - even from top name brands. We ship boxes that range from 40 lbs to just a couple lbs maybe 2 lbs. But we want the packaging to look professional of course. Not so much tape. This tape works well so that we don't have to us too much. Mostly we need to secure the labels because for some reason the labels peel off. Not sure why but we've come too rely on this type of shipping tape to solve the problem. As long as the price stays the same or gets cheaper we will continuer to use this product.
