Tape is marginal - doesn't stick well

using the tape dispenser this tape would not properly dispense when trying to initially set up and tape the boxes. The tape had a tendency to roll back up on itself and was very difficult in trying to find the seam in order to use it. It also had a tendency to tear / shred when you tried to start it from the roll which caused you to waste a lot of tape. It was very frustrating trying to use this "economical" tape to tape up boxes for packing up household goods and linen. We would never use this low quality tape again. I am very surprised that Staples even carries it since it is not up to the quality standards that Staples is known for.

Choose use carefully

Most of Staples products are equivalent to "name brands" and they are less expensive. I find that for heavy duty very reliable items I usually fall back on the name brand. i.e. post it notes now the packing tape pens that will last and not smear
