Finest Build Ever

This project was a joy to build and is truly beautiful finished—topping last year’s Coliseum, which was also a lot of fun. The poor reviews intrigue me because none of the high end sets I have built have ever been missing pieces. Several times during each build I seem to be missing something but in each case after working my way backward I find I made a mistake. In the case of Titanic, I even found a missing piece stuck to the bottom of the hull on an earlier section! I also thought the flags were missing but they were in the instruction book envelope of package number one—could probably have been better marked and/or called out more clearly in the instructions. Now I have to convince my wife to let me buy the Eiffel Tower!

I DEFINITELY recommend this set to any avid Lego lover!! The details that were put into this build are remarkable. I enjoyed every minute putting this together. Once it's finished, you get this huge sense of accomplishment of what you built and the shear beauty of it!! I would make sure you have plenty of room to build, it's a long piece.

I don't typically write product reviews, but this particular experience prompted me to jump on the bandwagon, as they say. This kit is exceptional! The attention to detail, the intricacy of the design, and the sheer scale of the model make it feel more like a museum piece rather than just another kit. Everything about it is perfect! We did have two minor glitches - one of them self-inflicted - but neither change my opinion of the build. The first was a single missing piece - a flat, white 2X3. No worries, we have spare dozens of those to replace it with. The self-inflicted issue was that about 5 minutes after opening the box, our dog ate one of the flags. Nobody but him noticed that it had inadvertently fallen on the floor. By the time we got to it, one flag was gone. A quick call to Lego took care of the problem. They refused payment for the replacement and the flag was here in just a few days! Excellent customer service. I couldn't be happier with this kit and I couldn't possibly speak more highly of it nor recommend it more. Speaking of a museum piece, I couldn't get that thought out of my mind, so I built a display case for it. Such an exceptional build deserved a special display!

Beautiful and an Enjoyable Build

I bought this to be a displayed on a narrow shelf on a very tall wall in my home. The build was very enjoyable with some repetition for the middle section (box 2) but overall it is a very enjoyable build experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!
