Love this set with a couple of issues.

Love this LEGO set. I thought that after building the Empire State Building LEGO set I was ready for anything. I'm working on the stern first. There are a few missing pieces which I ordered. I don't know how I'm going to get the two side panels fastened yet. Haven't had any luck with that yet. The "boiler room" section is done with no problems. I am very tempted to start on PART II (box 2) while I wait for the parts. Some parts of the stern are very weak and I think it is a design flaw.

I sent it to my 14 year old grand nephew. He completed it in record time. Where does he go from here?

I've been eyeing this set for over a year. Once it finally got here, I instantly jumped in! The wife has been wondering where I am and I'm pretty sure everyone I know is sick of hearing about it, lol
This set is super complicated and super detailed. It's been a blast, but do NOT recommend for new comers or anyone with hand issues as there's a lot of fine, single brick/piece constructions. If you can save for it or are on the fence about it, let this random guy on the internet try to persuade you and tell you it is an amazing set and I highly recommend it!

The Centerpiece of My Collection

This incredible set was an absolute must have for me. The only hesitation I had in purchasing it was being sure I had the room to display it properly first. It's been over a year since I added this set to my collection and it still is without a doubt, the centerpiece of it all. To me, Lego got everything right with this; it truly is a spectacular set. Yes, it is not inexpensive, but IMO it was worth every penny when you consider the built in features and functions along with the incredible details. You can see the time and care the designers put into developing this set that pays tribute to the memory of the actual ship. Yes, the build is long and can feel like an odyssey if you're doing it alone, but it also was a lot of fun and very rewarding to see it take shape. If you have the space, the time and means to purchase this set, I would definitely recommend getting it. Lego hit this one out of the park.

This Lego is a piece of art and is so gorgeous to look at when I walk past it! We keep it displayed in our living room and it is loved by my whole family! We all love the movie, though it is very sad, this piece shows the beauty of the ship. You are able to open up the ship and pull apart the three pieces to see the inner details. It contains miniature rooms, bathrooms, dinning rooms, and rotating engines. It is definitely worth the price if you would like an art piece to display!

I'm a beginner. Haven't played with Legos since I was a kid. The instructions were very simple to follow. Took me about 2 weeks to build. While working a full time job and then spending a couple hours each day to build this ship.

Have been interested in the Titanic since the British "A Night to Remember" movie in 1958 and reading the & book in 1958 (have a limited leather edition signed by WL and 1st edition) Whether I get room to build it or not I just wanted the LEGO version of a 42" model I got. BTW, in the first manual, the English text states "Queen" while the Spanish and French translates as "King".
