Missing pieces every step of the way

I have purchased this thinking I would take around half a day to complete the build. I have actually yet to complete the build as I have to keep requesting replacement components.
I have no doubt that once it is completed, it will look amazing, but the experience so far of building it has been not the greatest.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awful Instruction Manual

Whatever you do, DO NOT use the supplied manuals1! not only are they badly printed and badly cut. They have caused no end of issues because they are badly printed with poor colour ink cartridges, they show some colours to be very similar to other colours (See Photo). I’ve spent a good amount of time building the bow to find that I should have been using a Beige colour but shows on the instructions printed as a yellow colour. I feel ripped off by Lego when you pay such money to have badly printed instructions… use an iPad and download or build from the PDF, which is much clearer, but be warned, the page numbers don’t match the manual.. Also feedback to Lego if you read this, please Fix the section for write your review you cannot edit it properly in a large window….

Could not get more than 3 steps in any build accomplished because of ALL THE MISSING PARTS. Come on LEGO, can't you find people or robots that can detect color, shapes, and simple integer numbers! That's STEM stuff, isn't it!?!
I bought 2 of these kits and so far the first build is a nightmare, I'm sure the second gift will be equally frustrating, my only question is, will it be missing the same parts or completely different ones. If this crappy company could be consistent at all, at least I would know what parts to order to make the experience better for the next builder.

just a couple of issues

1st issue was having multiple bags with the same number on them. If you're going to have multiple bag 1s, show multiple bags in the picture for the upcoming build section.
2nd and bigger issue is that LEGO chose not to make a mold for a unique left and right part to finish the transition between middle-of-the-ship curved pieces on the very bottom and the curved peices heading towards the bow and stearn. Instead we're just given an extra linear peice that doesn't fill the transition well at all. It's one of those things that once you notice it, you can't UN-notice it. The eye is drawn to it every time you approach the model after. I'm VERY disappointed that LEGO didn't make one more mold for this model.

Wonderful set, looks amazing! The issue is all the wrong prices, in countless bags I have been missing a vital piece and given an extra random one. Luckily I have lots of spare pieces from past sets; if I didn’t this set wouldn’t be buildable. Like I said sometimes viral pieces were missing! Very disappointed for Lego, I expected higher quality
I would recommend this to a friend!
