Too many missing pieces to count

I thought the reviews about missing parts would've caused LEGO to fix the issues. Boy, was I wrong. First bag, missing piece. Second bag, 2 missing. Even without opening the bags, we can see that there are missing pieces. Hate to write a bad review but it sort of ruins the experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is really detailed, its very valuable to me, i see why lego made this, because we can remember the sad story of the titanic. thank you Lego for making this a set!!! :)

I’m missing pieces from step 1 so yea, this set is terrible. Would expect better quality control on such an expensive set but here I am reaching out for replacement parts for STEP FREAKING ONE!!

It's not that this set isn't amazing... but to have to keep stopping and waiting for missing part in a set of this size and cost is really not acceptable. It really does need to be perfect. We are currently waiting for pieces. annoying.

Good build, but missing parts

I was able to get through the first box with no issues, but when I got to bag 27, I found that I was missing the 2x8 black block for step 257. Instead, there was a 2x14 flat grey block, which isn't used at all in this bag. I put in a missing block order, but who knows when I'll get it. It is a vital piece, which means I have to put the build on pause until I get it. I've seen other reviews with the same issues of missing pieces. I also was missing a flat 1x2 round block piece for the outside of the ship, but I was able to build around it and can wait for that piece. For something of this price, you would think the quality control would be better.
I would recommend this to a friend!
