This USB Hub has excellent features

I use laptop computers and need to have several USB ports avaiable. My computer has 3.0 USB port, so to take advantage of the speed, I need a 3.0 USB Hub. I have the Tripplite Super Speed USB 3.0 Hub and I love it. It is light weight, ports have some space between them, it has a Charging port and the hub plugs into Electrical outlet for more charging power. It is fast as stated.

I've been using Tripp-Lite products for decades. I use and recommend Tripp-Lite products in my business as an Information Systems Specialist and Computer Systems Integrator. This recent purchase of the USB hub is yet another win. There are very few USB hubs available with a dedicated two amp charging port for items like IPads, that have a recognizable brand name. I have confidence in the product right out of the box and know from previous experience that if any problems arise, Tripp-Lite customer service will make it right. I have always recommended Tripp-Lite for my customers and will continue to do so.

Rock Solid Performance

Was looking for a high quality USB 3.0 hub and boy did I find it in the Tripp-Lite U360-007 hub. I have two printers and a UPS plugged in the back and use the front ports for various devices like USB sticks. Performance has been rock solid, no issues whatsoever.

I must say the first one of these that I got was defective. But Tripp-Lites customer service jumped through hoops to make it right and sent a replacement out almost immediately. The replacement has worked flawlessly. I use this every day on my main setup and could not be happier.

I bought two (2) of these, the first one went to my wife and I kept the second. She would have an issue every time she plugged in a device, unplugged and re-plugged in the device. For some reason the device would never appear on the screen. She would have to unplug and replug in the Hub to make it work. I gave her mine and she has had no issues. Now I have the defective device. I contacted support, they were very responsive, however, I can not find the receipt or remember where I purchased the hub.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When I purchased my iMac, I found that it was an inconvenience to have to turn it around to insert any type of USB product(I use flash drives rather frequently). I didn't have the luxury of being able to get behind my iMac easily. So, while perusing 'Other World Computing's' web site, I spotted this 7-Port USB Hub and knew at a glance that I had to have it. I've yet to use the dedicated powered port, for the other 7 ports meet and or exceed my needs for data control and charging. I would highly recommend this product to any computer owner. This '7-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Hub with USB Charging' has been invaluable to me in the time that it has saved me and it's convenience. The Hub is backward compliant with USB 2.0, which is good for me for I don't have USB 3.0 capability. The transfer speeds are still fast enough for me. When I upgrade to a Mac product that has USB 3.0 ports I'll be able to bring this Hub right along without having to upgrade.
