Works beautifully

I had a docking station from Plugable that I really liked, but it used DisplayLink drivers technology and because of a recent Mac update I could no longer watch videos from Netflix or Udemy or YouTube TV. Thank goodness I discovered this Hyper drive! It arrived yesterday and it’s working flawlessly and it doesn’t use any drivers whatsoever. So I can see all my content again AND as an added bonus I can finally use Flux and Nightshift on my external monitors for the first time! Very, very satisfied with this product despite its high cost.

This the best dock I've found for my MacBook Pro. Wish it cost less but it's really in a league of its in terms of I/O. Multiple Display Ports outputs is really the key feature for me.

I have now ordered this unit on two separate occasions and both times the same parts of the unit did not work. I understand that this is a difficult piece to manufacture. So then don't do it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Trash!! Don't Buy it!!

This thing is garbage. I've been using for a few weeks and half the ports don't work. It can't keep the 2 4k monitors running. they cycle and flash everyday for no reason. I reached out to Hyper Support, no reply still. Going on 2 weeks now. Literally have had to open a dispute case with my CC company due to the lack of interested on Hyper's part to actually take care of the issue. Oh, and did I mention that the unit gets so hot you can't touch it??!! Stay away from this thing at all costs, it doesn't seem like the product is any better than the one the scammed people with on Indiegogo. I know a few people that had major problems there and can't get Hyper to stand behind the product.

My first real Hyperdrive disappointment

I have been struggling for two days to get this to work consistently. I own 5 other Hyperdrive products and was really looking forward to this to go with my new M1 MacBook Pro. First, this was obviously designed for the the previous MacBook Pro as on the 16" the ports sit way under computer so you always have to disassemble the computer from the dock to just get to ports. Second, the groove which I assume is supposed to line up with the rubber feet does not so the laptop slides around. Third, the ports do not alway see a device. Sometimes I need to wait a minute or two for an HDMI port to be recognized and a monitor to appear. I have tried different cords, types of cords, and I still have the same issue. This is frustrating. I really wish there was a thunderbolt pass through. It is the only thunderbolt dock I have seen that does not have one. I should have read the specs better as I thought the port that lets you feed 100 watts of power was a passthrough but I missed this so I can't use the add on third monitor port without not being able to use any other thunderbolt peripherals, like my thunderbolt hard drive. Kind of limits such a powerful machine. Again, I assumed a spec they didn't have but I am really disappointed. If you have an M1 MacBook Pro, skip this and go for the stand alone docking station. You'll be much happier. This makes using my new, expensive Mac, less than satisfying.

Great product, would have been perfect if it came with a DC power adapter

The product build quality is AMAZING. The 2 points of improvement are:
_USB-C cables are short and uncomfortable to plug in when you set your laptop down on the dock.
_I have other docs (landing zone) that for the same price point included a power adapter. Hyper does not so it forces the user to have to plug/uplug their Mac charger every day if you don't own a spare.
