Perfect Running Headphones
on January 18, 2021

I hate earbuds and things that go in my ear. I only like the over-ear headphones and these are super lightweight.. over-ear headphones don't really come any lighter. The wireless works fine. $20 bucks so I dont worry about them. I have been using mine for more than 1 year now. I need to replace the covers because they are nasty but no replacements so for 20 bucks Im just buying a newpair soon.

I bought it two months ago, I love them, the three EQ selection features, the light weight and have comfortable foam ear cushions. I hope they don't ever get discontinued.

Just received them in the mail and they sound great. They are easy on the ears too unlike a lot of headphones that are too tight and strangle the lobes. Great work JLab!

Way better than other bluetooth headphone designs.

I tried a bunch of standard in-ear, on-ear, and around-the-ear bluetooth headphones and they were pretty uncomfortable for exercise, but these are quite different. I love that they took the classic Walkman open headphone and turned it bluetooth, with the cable connecting the earpieces connected via the headband instead of hanging under the chin or behind the neck. I really wish I could find more headphones like this one. Pairing was quick and easy, and they have not failed yet during music or a phone call, even at a distance of about 30ft.
The sound is not stellar, but it is actually quite better than others I have tried, at least partly due to their open design. Sound quality did vary quite a bit between sources (phone, media player), but it's still pleasant, and the EQ settings feature helps. There was some minor distortion in some tracks, but some EQ tweaking on the source should fix that. They are remarkably comfortable, and they did not fall off during moderate exercise. They are not excessively tight, but once they were on they did not move.
On phone calls voices sounded a bit sharp, but tolerable, and the person on the other end seemed to hear me just fine. My biggest gripe about these is that there is no volume control on the headset, and the volume from a couple of the sources that I tried was quite low, so I had to turn up the volume to about 80% to get a decent sound level. An extra set of pads is a very nice extra in the package. Overall they are a great option to consider if you prefer a wireless, open on-ear headphone.
Pros:
- Lightweight, sturdy, minimalist design.
- Very comfortable fit.
- Pleasant sound signature with 3 EQ settings.
- Extra ear pads included in the package.
Cons:
- No volume control.
- Voices in phone calls can sound a bit sharp.

Best value for your audio

I bought a pair of these two years ago. I bought them because I liked how they looked, and I’m old enough to remember old school lightweight headphones. I’ve worn them running, on airplanes, doing yard work and just chilling.
They’re light enough for running and stay put. You can also hear traffic well and they keep their connection while you’re moving. I have bone induction earphones that cost five times more and these are better in every way.
They’re okay for air travel. I like to pack light and the small size is superior to big folding ear goggles. Throw them around your neck, or in a bag pocket. Now the thing that makes these great for running limits them for air travel. The airplane noise can drown them out if you don’t crank the volume up. Even if you do, they’re weak, but acceptable.
The sound itself is very good, but the bass is a little thin. I listen to a lot of hip hop and the bass is good enough that it doesn’t frustrate me, but it is a little limited.
Also the microphone is behind the ear pad and pretty much useless. You can yell to Siri fine, but don’t expect to have a phone call using them.
As for durability they’re not as delicate as they seem. They’re light but still sturdy.
All that said, I just bought replacement ear pads and a second pair. The orange ear pads look great, but get dirty faster. I have earbuds over-ear Sonys for work meetings and the aforementioned “bone phones” but these are my go-to’s and I decided I needed a reserve pair.
Get some. You’ll forget about your earbuds, your giant headphones, and grab these first 90% of the time.

Charged them, connected and enjoyed the 80's sound for the modern tech. They sound just like their Predessors, crisp highs and mids with just enough low end.
