This base is easy to fill with sand or water, and definitely helps to keep the umbrella from tipping over in wind, or just because of the off-set style. I like the look of the rounded edges.

I purchased a umbrella that needed a strong base and this surely did the trick. The amount of sand or water makes it a great way to secure your umbrella for seasons to come.

Excited and then bummed

I’m so bummed. I ordered and received the beautiful umbrella. It was easy to setup and we have had it for about a week. We’ve had nothing but rain and cloudy skies since we got it so we haven’t even had the umbrella opened but once when we first got it. The slide part that locks the umbrella in the open position has cracked down the seam and makes the entire thing unusable.

Very nice base, good quality and right price. Easy to put together. I used water instead of sand. The round base seems less obtrusive than the square base to be.

Used this with my cantiver umbrella. It's easy to use and put together. They've successfully held down my umbrella (folded and covered, of course) in 40 mph winds.
