I needed to replace my previous solar cameras with something less noticeable to keep the HOA happy. Our townhouse has white trim, and tan siding. The old solar cameras were more black due to the solar panels than white and stuck out like sore thumbs. These cameras are smaller than the old cameras, and still offer PTZ functionality. The power cord has a very small plug, so I was able to drill a small hole in the siding to run the power from in the garage to the camera through the drywall. Getting rid of the solar panel and the battery allows the camera to be much smaller. The cameras now fit within the white trim panels and are virtually unnoticeable. Teh image quality is great! Lots of features I's still learning about, but overall these are great cameras!
Awesome product with affordable price and built in AI functions. I bought several units for my home and planning on adding more to our commercial farm.
I bought one of these AOSU solar-powered cameras to try out at home. The camera was easy to install and set up. After setting up the camera on, linking it to my phone and turning the camera on, the picture quality was good both day & night. At night you can either have a black-and-white screen or a color screen. The camera has so many options like 360* turning radius , a spotlight , you can talk to someone through it and can zoom in and out. You can set it up to detect humans, animals, and cars. It will send you a notification when something is detected . You also can set it up to cut on the spotlight and send an alarm sound out to scare anything away. I have had my 1st camera for a year and just recently purchased two more cameras and a video doorbell, which is amazing too. You can receive notifications and monitor your cameras anywhere you have cell service. So If you are looking for peace of mind while you鈥檙e at home or away this is the camera for you . I highly recommend these cameras and plan to purchase some more to put around my property in the future. Thank AOSU for a good quality camera. Dave D.
I bought this security camera in September 2024 and it was working will it was recorded all the motions the battery would get charged quickly by the solar panel but recently the last month or so it鈥檚 doesn鈥檛 record every motion only some and the battery gets charged very slowly like 20% the whole day and that 20% is drained by 1 AM and then the camera is dead until the sun comes up the next morning and starts charging it with the solar
if you live in the northern climate...the lower sun won"t charge and the cold will drain the battery quick...when outside it will not even charge up with a power supply hooked directly in to the charging input...i called the company and was advised to bring it indoors...warm it up...the charge via the charging input...have done that...it will charge indoors in about 10 hours...then will last outdoors for about 3-4 weeks til i Have to climb up a ladder to unhook it and bring it indoors...completely useless in cold weather and low sun climates...RJ
They do not specify anywhere or at any time that the minimum working temperature is -10C until you see the fine print on the instructions. If they are solar powered, they do not charge due to cloudy weather and they freeze before -10C. They are not recommended for Canadian weather. I do not understand how they sell this if their capacity is limited when the average can reach -20C.
Stopped working after a rainy day 11 days ago. I don't think that the camera is rainproof. I can't connect to the camera despite having a strong WiFi connection and location of the camera is less than2 meters away of the camera. During the night still flashing as was set up for detection of movement in the perimeter on the front of the property. Traking of movement has stopped and lost connection with the device. Not receiving any notifications but in the app it's still showing that camera is connected.
