A destop file/sorter should be sturdy stacked enough to see the file labels clearly and clear clutter off the desk. This one does all that and even looks reasonably nice. It's a great organizing tool.

I like that it is taller than the plastic file holder and (the files don't flop over the top making it hard to see the labels)

I use it to store folders for the different subject areas for teaching. I put the vanilla folders in the slots so I can reach them easily when I'm looking for some ideas. I put the folders I use the most into these slots for handy referral.
