Scotch Brite heavy duty sponges

We have been using this product for years. It is great at getting things clean, that nothing else can touch.
In the last six months when we use the pads, we are getting poked with steel strips.
I looked closer and it appears there is steel wool in the product or something similar.
Never had this problem until lately. Did you change something? It hurts when this happens and seems to happen every time I use them now.
Not sure how many stars to give this product. Last year I would have given it 5-stars.
The product now would get 2-stars until this issue is addressed. Thanks

New sponge composition is terrible

Committed user of this product. Recently bought bulk package. Sponge composition has changed. As soon as it is wet the sponge turns to mush. Will not continue to use in this condition.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used To Be A Great Sponge

I have bought this particular sponge for years. In the past year, I have noticed that the sponges do not hold their shape for as long, nor does the green scrubby part last as long. After use, I find the green scrubby part will stick to my countertop if I leave it there. In the past, the scrubby part has never fallen apart or degraded. I don't know what has changed, but am not particularly fond of the product as I once was.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A classic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this free sample and asked to review it. Light, but durable, this is a Boy Scout's field kitchen when camping...able to clean pots and pans with ease, and then use again and again for future trips.

Great sponge with scrub side that cleans very well and is very long lasting. Does not fall apart no matter how much or hard you use it for cleaning.

Delicate and Heavy Duty Sponge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this sponge as a sample to try. I like that it has two sides which one does the items that only need a soft washing and the other for those pots/pans that are difficult at times to to clean. Just the right size to fit our hands. The heavy duty side doesnt scratch the surface like some scouring pads might do. I will be looking to get more of these as there just what I need for dishes and other counter washing.

Great Sponge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wonderful sponge that works hard but also does not scratch your pans. I have very expensive cookware and am picky about what I use to clean them and I use this sponge always and it never fails me.
