Easy storage for active folders

This simple file stacker helps me organize my active files and keeps the top of my desk clear. Much easier than having to stuff each file back into the filedrawer each time - when I know I will need it later that day. Takes up less room and stores just as much as the more bulky plastic version - and cheaper too! One suggestion would be to make some of the "slots" thin and some thicker because folders are of different size. For a few of my files I needed to spilt the file in two so it would fit in the slot (maybe I just need to be better at purging! In summary highly recommended - I may but another one for the other side of the desk.

I have two of these in my office. They keep folders sorted by client but close so I can work on them. I use them for projects for clients that I am currently involved with.

This sorter is just what I needed to complete the easy storage of my classroom student folders. It has proved to be Very helpful for getting some of my files organized to make the sudent files easily accessable. The students can readily find their own folders daily and are able to get them upon entering the classroom. They get their own folders and get started on each day's lesson right away. I had to purchase another Desktop File sorter with 8 compartments to acommodate the increased number of students. It worked out just fine for me.

Helps keep folders organized

I use this to keep my file folders upright when filing lots of papers. I'm an accountant but I even use them to organize my personal files. I decide what category to file and set the subfolders up in alphabetical order (such as for vendors) and it helps find them quickly. No more sliding down into the file cabinet! When I'm done I just scoop them up and put them into the drawer in order. The rubber-tipped feet keeps the unit from skidding on my desk and the wide stance is perfect for letter-sized folders.
