OEM cartridges are the way to go with HP laser jet printers. I have tried other brands that are "compatible" with HP OEM cartridges but always had issues. Save your money and use HP cartridges as they are the most efficient and dependable cartridges around. Quality speaks for itself.

I bought a new cartridge for my HP laserMFP281fw printer. When I installed the cartridge it did not work. There was no ink being discharged. I was printing reports for my school and there was no black ink. I put back the old cartridge that still had a small amount of ink and printed a test page. It worked. I have to print reports for my school and the defective cartridge was a disappointment.
