I received my new Vortex VX9 in the early part of Winter. There was 5-6” of snow on the ground, but I had to give it a try anyway! I expected just to find large targets, but got pleasantly surprised with a Barber quarter and an Indian Head penny! I also used it to help 2 people find their cellphones that had gotten plowed deep into snowbanks during The Ring Finders searches. Can’t wait to use it on open ground!

Sees thru iron, finds deep targets.

I recieved my VORTEX in November of 2024. I have gone to my hunted out sites with lots of iron. On my first trip with the VORTEX , in the midst of lots of iron , I uncovered a Mercury dime! On another trip I dug my first Silver Washington quarter. Love the VORTEX.

Satisfaction with the new detector.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the detector 2 months ago and I am very satisfied. Very light, and I can find many things that I couldn't with the previous one. I am especially happy that I don't have to charge the batteries separately, that's great! This has made the hobby even more enjoyable and I am satisfied.

Love my VX9

Got my VX9 detector, took it out the first day to a site that I had worked for years and thought I had gotten everything out of. I was amazed to find that I had not even started to find all the hidden relics still hidden there. This is the best detector I have ever owned, it finds stuff I had missed with my old detector...I love it !
I have bought the wireless earphones and pinpointer to go with it and they all are great and I would recommend them highly !

Love the rock solid Beach/Salt mode!

I’ve had the Vortex VX-9 for about a month now - been out with it a few times on the beach and in the water. I love the rock solid Beach/Salt mode. It easily detected small ear rings 15” down in both sand and water. The only thing I would change is maybe add a inch to distance of the display from the handle. Even with fairly small hands the pin-point button is difficult to manipulate being so close to the grip.

Truly outstanding depth/target identification performance in previously searched areas. In my mind, the XV9 is truly a game changer for price & operation! Once you understand the machine - it works for you! Recovered notable silver, bronze, lead, and copper artifacts/coins from historic sites in Pennsylvania, New York, & West Virginia.

I am new to the detecting family but with a little practice and a few you tube videos' i have found multiple coins. Very easy to learn and use. Love the light weight and awesome battery life.
