The appliance is excellent. The only recommendation is to add a feature that prevents errors to show up when cleaning the appliance.

The cooktop didn’t work properly when installed

Serious electrical design flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good news. We bought this unit because of the excellent range of burner sizes including 6", 6 1/2", 8 3/4", 9 1/2" and 11". One of only a couple cooktops that we could find with an 11 inch burner. Great. Also good is that many of the heat ranges have a half setting giving you better control of the heat. So much for the good. I'll start slowly. Wish it didn't have the ugly stainless steel rim that collects dirt and makes cleaning more difficult. Now for the aggravation. I like a clean cooktop. However, when cleaning with the top locked (or not), an even slightly damp cloth will cause an error alert that sometimes is difficult to abort. NOTE: I use a damp cloth before using the glass cooktop cleaner. Not only does this happen while cleaning with lock on, but it has happened several times when a bit of water splashes on the top while cooking causing the unit to stop and go into error mode and interrupt the cooking process. We complained to the company. They sent a tech to replace a circuit board. Did the same thing. Electrolux replaced the unit. Same problem. Very irritating. Would I reccomend this? Absolutely not. I will say that Electrolux worked with me to attempt to solve this issue. But it still go to error mode most of the time I clean it.

The Mercedes of Appliances!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this cooktop after my other Electrolux needed a burner replacement after 10 years! I love the configuration of the burners and easy of clean-up. I also have the double wall oven and can’t say enough about them! I love Electrolux!

I like the features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first Electrolux dual cooktop lasted only 10 years, using it for only 6 months each year. It died and my repairman replaced a board which lasted about 2 weeks. We purchased a new cooktop with another Electrolux cooktop which fit the original cutout. It arrived in a badly damaged box. The day after it was installed I tried to use it, but after heating 3 burners, it blew out. Electrolux sent a replacement. When the installation team opened it to install it, the top was broken. Another replacement is to arrive and be installed next month. After 2 months without a cooktop, I'm hoping for a successful outcome.
