i had a VIOTECH i got back in 2021. a 34" 2k panel. but it took a hit when I moved and needed a new monitor. So I got the Asus TUFF 34" monitor and boy is it so much better that that VA panel. The colors just pop and the image is night and day compared to the VA Panel. Would buy it again if I need to.
Sharp vivid picture. Intuitive control panel. Blue light is excellent. Upgraded from a flat panel and the extra space is appreciated. Split screen and spacious huds in games. Picture in picture is very clear and nice when hosting games.
The screen is really nice, especially for the price. However, there are two mechanical issues with mine right out of the box: 1. The d-pad control on the back of the screen cannot navigate up or to the right. It simply doesn't move in those two directions, as if they are blocked by the back panel itself. When changing settings, I am limited to pressing down, left, or in to confirm. Not a big deal because the menus loop from the bottom back to the top... except the volume. I'm permanently stuck at 0 with no way to increase the audio. Not a big deal since I have a much better external speaker. I believe it's a rear panel assembly issue because the bottom two buttons must be pushed in unusually far in to make contact. 2. The power cord connector on the back, while snug and seemingly a good fit, has very little margin for wiggle. A slight bump of the cord or adjustment of the screen and it loses contact causing the monitor to lose power. It doesn't fall out or unplug itself, it just needs to be perfectly aligned and firmly plugged in, and be careful never to touch the cord.
I could have got 2 monitors that would give me a bit more screen space. But this size is perfect, especially without having to move your head almost 180* to look at the other screen if you were to get 2 monitors.
