I ignored the bad reviews because I love my power detect robot vacuum so much and it has been life changing. But the cordless power detect vacuum does not compare to the robot version. I needed something easy to take the the areas of the house that the robot vacuum can't get to, and in every area this vacuum disappoints. It is horrible with edges, can't do rugs without sucking them up, and can't handle cat litter. It moves the dirt around several times before sucking it all up, and is way too expensive for the results it provides. I feel super bad that I spent so much money on something that performs so poorly when my husband trusted me to choose the right thing for what we needed. I can't understand how a robot vacuum can perform better in every way than this model. It does auto sense dirt and switch to a higher power setting, but I can't figure out how to set a high setting myself, and when it kicks up to higher suction it doesn't stay on long enough to actually get all the extra mess. This is the first cordless vacuum other than a robot that I have ever owned so maybe I expected too much. But I cannot recommend this vacuum for anyone that has pets or teenagers or rugs or lives in the country or has more than one person that lives in the house because it just can't handle seemingly anything very well.

Suction is unbelievable

We have three dogs. A ST BERNARD, and TWO LABS. We were drowning in dog hair. This vacuum is incredible. I've had a dyson in the past and i can EASILY say this is the nicest vacuum i've ever owned. Very well made, sturdy, I see it lasting us a long time. Careful around your bed, if it gets the corner of your blanket, the suction is so powerful, it will take the blanket with it. 11/10

Don’t buy this if you want something efficient

My husband and I bought this back in the spring and we have given it plenty of time to prove itself. It unfortunately has failed to do that. It dies very often despite having a small house that is all wood flooring, it overheats and smells like it’s burning, I have to clear clogged hair in the brush roll multiple times per use, and the suction is just overall not that great. I’m bummed because we love our large Shark vacuum that we’ve had for years. I hate to say it, but I wish we’d gotten the Dyson stick vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not waste your money

Worst vacuum I have owned. Had one that broke within a month and had another sent to us. The second one lasted 8 months... heavy and bad weight distribution in your hand when using the attachments, cant put the vacuum on the charger with the attachment, on off button is finicky. Wish I never got the shark and stuck with the dyson I had.

I bought this vacuum about a years ago, the first few months it worked but the past several months it will not charge. I tried cleaning the contacts, it is sitting on a level floor but still it will not fully charge. I am not happy at all with this vacuum. It was quite expensive and was a complete waste of money!!
