The reviewer who said it does not work with the Direct tv 3D channels is incorrect. He has the wrong receiver. This happened to us too. We signed up for the HD channels and told them we had 3D but they sent the wrong receiver out. After about a month we called in and got the correct receiver. The quality of the 3D programs is amazing, albeit a very small offering of programs. We have watched 3D movies and been just blown away by the quality. We have used our home theater as well as the regular sound from the TV and had no problems with either.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great tv

My whole family loves this tv. We still feel a little silly wearing our glasses to watch 3 D programming but what a great picture. I use it with other home theater equipment so I don't know enough about the tv's sound to rate it. It works great with my Directv hd receiver, even the 3d channels. It would have been nice if Sharp would have included four pairs of glasses so I would not have had that extra expense after paying top dollar for my tv. I do like my tv and would pay it again if I had to.
Pros: works great looks great.

Best HDTV for price, size, value

This is the best tv I have owned so far and the quattron technology is definately for real. Clean, Crisp, Vivid colors and superb contrast are made possible by the x-gen panel. The yellow really does add that pop to the overall picture as the screen is so naturally bright and vivid. You can really see an entire range of colors on the screen wether its cable box, blu ray discs or video games. Quad Pixel Plus delivers exactly what it says it does, is a clean and high resolution picture.
Pros: vivid colors, superb contrast and blacks

GREAT PICTURE, SOUND AND SIZE.. WAS EASY TO SET UP WITH EXCELLENT VIEWING ANGLES CAN NOT WAIT TO WATCH FOOTBALL THIS SEASON

Great for viewing quality in both 2D and 3D. However, instructions need to be improved.
Pros: absolutely great viewing quality.
Cons: instructions leave something to be desired., not compatable with directv 3d channels!

This is hands down the best TV I have ever purchased. Seeing this TV at the store does not do it justice - once i brought it home and hung it - the picture quality is far superior to any other TV on the market.
Pros: awesome picture quality, 3d technology
Cons: sound could be better
