The soundbar to beat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Q series soundbars, specifically the HW-Q900F, continues with the same magnificent performance as previous generation but with overall improved subwoofer design and performance.
First, let’s talk about specs. The HW-Q900F is a 7.1.2 channel soundbar setup. It includes 7 combined front and side firing channels, 1 subwoofer, and 2 upward firing speakers. The soundbar brings Wireless Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony with compatible Samsung TVs, smaller wireless subwoofer, and SpaceFit Sound.
Samsung has stayed with previous generation design for the most part. The fit and finish for both soundbar and sub are excellent. Material feels very durable and high quality. Even the sticker with the soundbar’s spec feels high quality. This is a top tier premium device.
The HW-Q900F offers several connectivity options, including 1 x HDMI-eARC, 1x HDIM, Digital Audio In (Optical), bluetooth pairing, and Tap to sound.
Specs mean nothing if the soundbar can’t perform. I’m going to put this to rest and say the performance remains top notch and Samsung has done nothing less than to continue setting the gold standard for soundbars. All these speakers built into the sound bar provides rich cinematic sounds from video contents. What this means is surround sound when watching movies, listening to music, or playing games. Extremely clear vocals that will not get muffled or buried with all the other sounds. The soundbar also has Q-Symphony which provides enhanced audio for a more impactful presence when paired with a compatible Samsung TV. Built into the soundbar is SpaceFit Sound. This feature helps calibrate the room automatically!
If you want a soundbar and absolutely want top tier, then this is it! Yes, you do get what you pay for and in 2025 Samsung is again setting the bar high.

Sharp Looks, Even Sharper Sound

One of the first things that pleasantly surprised me was the subwoofer – it has a remarkably small footprint for the powerful bass it delivers, making placement much easier than I anticipated.
The soundbar itself does have some heft and is larger than my previous unit, but that's understandable given the technology packed inside. Aesthetically, it looks sharp with its angular design, fitting well under the TV. The real standout, however, is the sound quality. It absolutely delivers on the promise of true 7.1.2 channel surround sound. Watching movies has become incredibly immersive; the system creates a wide soundstage with clear separation, and the up-firing channels add that crucial height dimension, especially noticeable with Dolby Atmos content. You really feel enveloped in the action, transported beyond just watching a screen.
The passthrough feature is excellent and works seamlessly, simplifying connections. While I haven't explored every single smart feature in depth yet, the out-of-the-box sound feels well-balanced for my room. It provides a truly premium, flagship-level audio experience. My only minor wish would be for updated compatible rear speaker options for potential future expansion, but that's just nitpicking on what is already a fantastic product. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, immersive home theater sound without a complicated setup.

Over the past week, we’ve tried the soundbar with everything from blockbuster movies to music and classic TV shows like MASH*. In every case, the HW-Q900F delivered rich, powerful, and detailed audio that consistently exceeded our expectations.

HW-Q900F Soundbar

The sound quality is outstanding—crystal-clear dialogue, deep bass, and a powerful surround sound effect that makes everything feel more immersive. The sound woofer is compact yet has a deep, powerful sound. The sleek, low-profile design fits perfectly in front of my TV without taking up too much space. Connecting the soundbar was quick and easy, and I appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with my Samsung TV. I own a Samsung Galaxy Fold phone, and I love that I can just tap the soundbar and it will sync easily and play anything from my phone. Also, the Q-Symphony feature is intuitive. It truly enhances the cinematic experience at home.

Big sound. Easy setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of older kids and a wife who always seems to get stuck setting up the electronics (because, let’s be honest, someone has to do it!), I really appreciated how easy the Samsung HW-Q900F sound bar was to install. It connected to our TV quickly, without a maze of wires or a bunch of tech headaches. Plus, it looks sleek and modern.
When it comes to sound, the HW-Q900F completely impressed me. Whether it's family movie nights, my husband watching sports, or the kids gaming or streaming shows, the sound fills the room beautifully. Dialogue is super clear — no more cranking the volume up and down — and the bass is strong but never drowns everything else out. It makes our TV time feel a lot more like a theater experience, right at home.
One little hiccup I ran into was when streaming YouTube: at first, the sound wasn’t syncing perfectly with the video. It was a bit frustrating (especially after I had just finished setting everything up myself!), but after some adjusting and updating, it worked much better. Just something to be aware of if you do a lot of streaming.
A bonus I didn’t expect to love as much as I do is the Bluetooth feature. It’s so easy to connect my phone or the kids' phones to play music through the sound bar — perfect for when we’re cooking, cleaning, or just hanging out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was my first time purchasing a sound bar and I am OBSESSED! First , it was so easy to set up. You can connect the soundbar by hdmi or WiFi. The subwoofer is wireless as well so you can place it anywhere you’d like. The Dolby atmosphere makes the sound so clear. Especially when playing a game and using its game mode, it make it feel like you’re surrounded and in the game itself!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed! Setup couldn't have been any easier. Mounting was simple and straight forward. Once mounted plugged hdmi and power and it did the rest on its own as soon as I turned my TV on. The whole process took about 30 minutes from unpacking to ready to play. The sound quality it amazing, the True 7.1.2 ch full surround sound is remarkable! you truely get that surround sound effect. Wow! to be wireless is awesome, no need to hide ugly cords everywhere. I can't believe it all comes from just one sound bar. I have a Samsung TV and what a benefit the Q symphony option is. Adding my TV speakers to this already amazing sounding bar is just that much better. I really do appreciate the wireless Dolby Atmos, simple great! The space fit sound pro plus is a great feature, it feels like it tailors the sound quality to fit my living room. The sound is great while watching normal TV, and outstanding with movies and sports. The Active voice amplifier is great it makes it so you are still able hear voice during action sceens when they tend to drown out. you hear what ever is being said crystal clear. The sound is rich and crisp, as for the subwoofer my oh my. Amazing deep bass, with enough thump to fill most any room and capabilty to adjust that bass is great. The sub is so small it can be placed anywhere in the room and still sound amazing, whether you want to conceal it or show it off. I really apprciate the Smart Integration, it make controling the system just that musch easier. I downloaded the app and am now able to make any adjustments I want through my phone. The kids love the sound while playing their games, Game mode Pro makes them feel like they are in the game. I am beyond pleased with my sound bar, it far surpassed my expectations.

My living room has never sounded better! The immersive surround sound experience the HW-Q900F provides is truly remarkable—it's as if the audio is coming from every direction, making movies and music feel much more lifelike.
One of the standout features for me is the ability to enjoy rich, dynamic sound without having to crank up the volume. With my previous soundbar, I often had to increase the volume significantly to get the depth I wanted, but with the HW-Q900F, I can enjoy full, clear audio at much lower levels.
The soundbar also offers impressive connectivity options, including 2 HDMI In ports, 1 HDMI Out port, HDMI ARC, and HDMI CEC, making it easy to connect all my devices without hassle.
