Better than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone works great. I love the opening it up to watch movies and videos. The wide screen is great when reading books online. I would definitely recommend this phone to anybody that loves gaming or movies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy the simplicity of things. The ease of changing between apps won't split screen. Or the ability to edit documents that have been transcribed to the phone in full screen making it very easy to read. On my down time I enjoy reading the newspaper in full screen. And easily transitioning to a semi-normal size phone for phone calls then easily slipping it into my inside coat pocket where it seems to vanish. Zoom and video conferencing are done with ease based on the ability to adjust the phone at any angle and place it on the table without a kickstand without any extra accessories. Samsung has done and amazing job of creating a tablet style phone that is not too big but definitely not too small to get the day done! Battery life is actually astonishing with the amount of screen time that I put in. I usually get through the day on a charge and trust me I use my phone all day. I actually get the chance to sit and listen to a podcast or simply at my desk and want to hear some relaxing music speakers are actually astonishing. You would not expect the sound quality from such a small device. Good job Samsung please keep innovating!

3rd times the charm, but still not perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Z Fold 5 represents both the pinnacle and the growing pains of foldable technology. As a veteran user who's owned the Fold 3, 4, and now 5, I've witnessed firsthand the evolution of the Z fold series. While each iteration brought improvements, my journey hasn't been without its challenges.
The seamless action across apps and the wow-factor people have when they see it open it keeps me loyalto the design. The Fold 5 finally feels robust enough to survive daily use, though lingering quality concerns make me cautious. My previous models each succumbed to different issues - from screen cracks after drops to digitizer failures and hinge problems due to dust accumulation. Even had a 5G antenna failure and the front acreen go dark on the 5. While Samsung's warranty service was reliable, the inconvenience of using backup devices during repairs was frustrating.
What keeps me coming back? The Fold series has effectively replaced multiple devices in my life. It serves as my phone, tablet, Kindle, and even a laptop replacement for short business trips. Paired with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, it's a surprisingly capable mobile workstation. Coming from a Pixel, adapting to Samsung's UI took time, but now I'm fully invested in the ecosystem.
I'm holding out for the Fold 7, hoping for more substantial innovations. Despite its imperfections, this device category keeps improving and perhaps the 7 will finally be perfect.

The cellular antenna picks up carrier service when other devices don't, it can process full games without lag or glitching, both inner and outer screens never have any problems, the speakers work very well, and the outer casing is very durable. My only concerns would be that the hinge seems sensitive (I have had to file warranty once for screen damage due to the hinge breaking internally), the camera is fairly bad, and the keyboard on the front screen is fairly hard to use. You can use slide text, but most of the predictive words it comes up with are wrong initially. Otherwise, it's a great device.

I honestly expected more.

I could have bought a much cheaper phone for better quality. I would have rather bought a galaxy 24 ultra instead of this phone.
