Better than I thought

I read the reviews online and watched YouTube videos about how Basic Fun is not nearly as good as Arcade1up and although I would agree that the A1up version of Star Wars is superior, this cabinet is still awesome. Just as difficult to put together as any home arcade (I had some issues but overall it built nicely). Pros: great sound and controls. The game itself is flawless. Cons: the yoke is kind of low and the screen is a little small. Overall, a very fun addition to my home arcade.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This actually plays better than the Arcade1up version in my opinion. The yoke is calibrated better. Cabinet itself is really nice with no screw holes and everything lined up perfectly when I assembled it. Pieces were packaged really well. Recommended!

Okay, but A Rushed Release; Short Cabinet Height

Basic Fun rushed the release of their Ultra cabinets. 1) Used a lower quality monitor (TN panel) that show blooming effects with the 2 vector graphic games Stars and the Empire Strikes back. The visual problem is not that noticeable with the Return of the Jedi game. Arcade1Up used a superior BOE monitor that didn't exhibit the blooming effects 2) The controller yoke work just fine, but the whole cabinet is about 3 inches too short if you are accustom to playing the original arcade game. One has to slouch or use a stool when playing this game. I had to build a riser platform to make up for the lost 3 inches, and to reduce back strain from slouching. 3) No Canadian warranty registration available. They only do USA. It make one wonder about warranty support should go wrong with your machine. In contact with Basic Fun, I was able to secure a Canadian contact for warranty. 4) Not worth paying full price with the negatives I mentioned. It's better to buy it for a really good sale price. 5) Basic Fun says they will be releasing a Premium Ultra series of home arcade (because they rushed the release of Ultra series), which will address the problems I've already outline, except for the Canadian warranty issue. It will also have the coin door. Unfortunately, this new series will be at a higher price bracket.
