Deluxe Wall Mount Surface Skimmer

When used with a 16' pool, very little from the surface of the water ends up in the basket. The arm holding the basket is too long and keeps it too far under the water so the skimmer floats out of the holder when the kids play in the pool. Due to the design, I am unable to secure the basket higher. I would not buy it again. I had a different Intex skimmer with a pool over 10 years ago and it worked very well. Unfortunately, this one does not.

Terrible Design

On a routine day, I have to stop by pump twice to pull leaves out of various strainers along the way because the skimmer doesn't pull them into the basket.
The skimmer has these flaps on the bottom, which draws debris in the bottom, completely bypassing the basket. It's like someone took a skimmer that would probably be fine and asked how to make it worse.
I'd say I pull less debris out of the basket than out of anywhere else in the system.
I'll be looking for a different skimmer. This one sucks.

Surface Skimmer doesn't skim

I bought this for my 12 x 24 Ultra and it doesn't have the power to suck anything into the basket. The blue rim floats above the surface of the water, so sometimes leaves and things accumulate around the outside, but nothing is ever sucked into the basket.

Dysfunctional design

This is a bad design. The bracket connects loosely to the pool's rim and cannot hold the basket level at the proper height. Until the clamp is designed to connect to something sturdy I would not buy this product.

Deluxe Wall Mount Surface Skimmer

Having difficulty holding it to the metal frame of pool as it floats up and sucks air. Watched several YouTube videos for mounting hacks for this product finally called customer support. She told me to watch YouTube videos. WOW, some customer support, she didn't have anything else to offer. Well I will keep trying.

worst skimmer ever

this thing sucks, not certain why they didnt make it out of a denser than water material so it would not CONSTANTLY float to the surface and break the filter suction
