It works, kinda. When the pump shuts off everything returns to the pool. I had to youtube videos to find out exactly how to set it up, including using the restriction on the other inlet. Nothing in the instructions said what to do with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great skimmer for Intex Above Ground Pools

This purchase was to replace the INTEX Wall Mount Skimmer we bought 5 years ago. This products quality is fantastic for our 20 Foot Round above ground Intex pool. We bought this one again because we were satisfied with this skimmers performance at removing leaves and bugs from the waters surface. Very easy installation and removal when shutting the pool down at the end of pool season.

Got to skim the surface of our stock tank pool. Clearly not the intended use (as smallest mounting bracket is still too high/big) but by using a clamp on the side, works well enough :)

I don’t usually write reviews but I’m making an exception with this item. This item is great, and the cost of it is way below what they should be charging. It is easy to install and does a remarkable job in keeping the pool clean. I have a small 12' above ground pool and live in the country so when there is any wind the pool surface is covered with dry grass leaves and dust which I would have to remove most of it by using a net which doesn’t take long but is still a pain in the butt. When I first used the skimmer it only took around 15 minutes to completely clean the grass leaves and DUST from the surface. I highly recommend this item. You won’t be disappointed!

Poor connectors

Purchased and when I tried to use it, found out there is no way to connect it. Instructions are poor, hoses are two different sizes. Waste of money! Very disappointed after purchasing 52” x 22’.
