My S7 gave me better service

I live 50 mi outside of the closest town. My S7 gave me perfect reception all the way, my S22+ drops calls in 2 different spots. The S22 has terrible battery life and even tho I have tried 2 different cords the charge rate from my car is so slow as to be worthless. I can no longer delete a single message from my texts I have to delete the whole conversation - a feature I HATE!! I am not able to easily transfer photos from the phone to my computer or to text messages .. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...... The button to activate the screen being on the side now requires me to use my entire hand to activate it instead of a single finger .... There's more but I'm tired of writing ... I honestly would have returned this but the store no longer had the S7 I traded in to give back to me ......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi PAHS, Thank you for your review of the Samsung Galaxy S22. We appreciate your feedback as it ensures we remain innovative with our product designs and functionality. Continuing what we started with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, earphones and a charger plug are no longer included in the box because Samsung wants to minimize the impact our products have on the environment. Samsung believes the removal of earphones and charger plugs from our in-box device packaging can help address the growing e-waste problem and unnecessary duplication of these items. Existing Galaxy users are encouraged to continue using their current earphones and charging plug, while new users will need to purchase them separately. If you need any assistance, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support, attached below. Thank you for being a valued customer. –Bethany smsng.us/Samsung-Support

I didn't. I was hoping the s22+ will have an acceptable battery but it didn't. A phone that goes from 15% to 12% in one minite of being off is trash. Sending it back :(

I've never been so let down by a new-generation phone. From it's frustrating interface to its intermittent connectivity issues, it's been nothing but a headache that I've wished I could still return.
The performance on the phone would be fantastic if it could keep a steady connection. As it is, I have connectivity issues on every app that I use for longer than 10 minutes. Be it a game, a streaming service, or social media. There are solutions on the internet for this problem, but it started during the first WEEK I've had the phone. Not only this, but you should NOT have to factory reset a phone within the first 4 months of having it.
This wasn't necessarily a deal-breaker, but the camera was a disappointment as well. It boasts such fantastic specs, but the pictures themselves come out with poor quality rivaling the generation of phone that came out 7 years ago. While not as important to me personally, it's still frustrating that I ultimately did not get what I paid for.
A final point on the matters that make me want to chuck this phone against a wall on a weekly basis is the inaccurate biometrics. Good lord if you do not have your finger aligned exactly right with the prompt, it will not work. If you do not press with the exact degree of force it requires, it will not work. It was not two weeks before one of the fingerprints I registered stopped unlocking the phone completely and had to be re-done.
All in all, this phone wasn't even worth the trade-in with AT&T and I wish I could have my busted, broken, S7 Active back because its worth as an item of nostalgia is still far better than this as a functioning phone. If you're looking for a new phone, I promise you can find a phone with better all-around value for likely the same price (if not less).

Extremely fragile

I've been a die hard Samsung fan for years. I love so much about this phone but if you look it it wrong prepare for a broken screen. Cracked screen in a case with a screen protector dropped on a wood floor in the house. Humid outside? Screen wont work right at all. Casing is glass, which was a huge shock to me coming from the samsung active line of phones, where the casing was metal. I had really high hopes and this phone has totally let me down on reliability.

The S22 is smaller than S8, doesn't come with ear phone jacks, doesn't come with microSD card slot too. You cannot resize your wallpaper on your homescreen and it comes with garbage bloatware. It is not worth the money.

Fingerprint recognition sucks!!

I upgraded from a S9. Never had a problem with fingerprint or facial recognition until this "upgrade". I scanned several fingers and my face, deleted, rescanned a couple more times. It never recognizes fingerprints or face. It is so beyond frustrating. The S9 was never a problem. I am repeatedly being locked out because it fails to recognize my fingerprints. Yes, I am pressing harder, yes I am covering the full sensor. I am considering returning it.

I'm disappointed for the first time with Galaxy
on April 21, 2022

Yes, the battery. Fully charged last night 10pm, on airplane mode all night. It's 1pm now and down to 20 percent. I've had galaxy's since SIII. And loved them all. None with a battery like this. And the color, ugh. Waited a long time for sky blue but it's a disappointment. Today is the first sunny day in the last week, so today you could say it looks blue. But at night or cloudy day it looks gray! When I ask people what color it looks like most say gray, or bluish gray. Don't like it. And it's so thick and clunky. I've always loved the sleek look of the Galaxy. This one is too thick! I thought it would feel more like the S10e or the S10, both of which I had and loved. It feels much more bulky than those. I traded in a S20fe and even tho that's a bigger phone it felt sleeker in my hand. Not happy at all....
