Worst Samsung Phone I have had

Battery life is terrible. Screen is often non responsive. Voice texting is horrible. I would go back to my Note if my display hadnt completely gone out.

Great little phone...BUT

It's a fantastic phone, definitely the best S ever made but the Unlocked model [SM-S901U1] doesn't allow for carrier aggregation.
That doesn't fit with international carriers that take advantage of multiple bands to ensure the best connection and speeds possible over a specific network.
It's absurd that a phone from 2022 only works with a single band. The Exynos variant allows for carrier aggregation, the 8 Gen 1 sold in US does not.
Samsung MUST fix this as the modem inside the 8 Gen 1 is way more capable than using one band only. Remove this firmware restriction!

I bought my S22 Ultra three days ago and realized after only one day that I should have listened when I was advised not to purchase this phone as yet (until the various issues were resolved). I regret not taking that advice. The battery power is not good and I had to charge two to three times a day, even after fully charging the day I bought it. Today, I will just leave the phone on the charger; that's less stress. My other issue is that it takes quite a while to send text messages and even LONGER to send just one picture. Unless folks are in desperate need and really want this S22 Ultra phone (no matter what), I think it is better to wait a little while before purchasing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size is perfect and the feel in the hand is great.
The camera is top notch, but the shutter speed is a little slower than I thought.
It's speedy and smooth when operating it. No lag.
It charges at a decent rate, but coming from a OnePlus phone to this, I had to get used to waiting a little longer for a full charge.
Battery life is the worst part about the phone, but that's due to the size of it, which is expected. I can usually get through a day if I have it on power saving mode.
Other than that, it's your standard Samsung experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Speakers cannot handle pressure changes or cold. Sounds broken after 1500 foot elevation change. I do it every day. The battery is second rate at best. Wish I would have kept my S9+(great phone).

I gave this Samsung S22 2 stars because it was free with my Verizon "upgrade". It is not an upgrade at all. You get what you "pay" for. This phone turns the internet off sporadically, takes forever to connect a website if ever, drops social media, has difficulty loading video and the battery life doesn't last 12 hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Seriously bad phone with the worst battery life

I went from being underwhelmed with this phone to down right hating it. It's got the worst battery life I've ever had with a new phone. The 5G is spotty at best, it's slow, the 'touch' screen seems finicky. Some of the 'features' Samsung has changed on their phones seems like a big step back.
