Missing good things

I bought this s22 and I have before S20 I decided return s22. I miss the vibration the s20 in my s22 i don't feel the notifications and call when was in that mode. I like more the design of s20 amd also the SD I don't know why they remove that. Only thing different is the camera in s22 but I thing the s20 is a better phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible battery. Nice camera

I've always had Samsung phones. I had to give up my S8 due to the 3G network going down. The S22 is quite heavy compared to the S8 but most newer phones are. The thing that completely disappointed me is the pathetic battery life. The S8 would last me all day even with a lot of screen time. The S22 is down to 70% just from 30 minutes of screen time. The camera is nice but super slow to take pics, especially the front camera. Overall, 2.5 stars, would not recommend to a friend. Disappointed, but I'll keep it for now.

I switched from a s20, I'm not finding there are much difference. It seems like the battery dies fast. If it wasn't for the good deal I got, I don't think that I would have changed phones.

I like it, but it's not without it's issues.

I'm not the person who goes out and buys the latest model phone every time something new comes out. I upgraded to the S22+ from my Samsung Galaxy S7. I only upgraded because my S7's battery wasn't able to stay charged for more than an hour when not being used and because some apps that I use were starting to not work well because the phone was older. I decided I would upgrade to a newer model which I'll probably, like my S7, continue using for many years before upgrading. I can't speak in comparison to newer models like the S21 but compared to my S7 the battery life is great. Even when new I'd have to charge it minimum once a day. The S22+, I'm only charging once about every 3 days. I'm not sure what people are doing on these phones that they are having to charge it like every several hours but mu 22+ seems to have a great battery life.
I don't love the size. My hands are small and with my S7 I could just barely use the phone one handed. The S22+ is definitely a two handed operation for me. I also dislike that all the buttons are now on the right side as opposed to power on one side and volume on left. Their placement is also optimized for the right handed user and being a lefty, I find them more difficult to manage. I also didn't like that there wasn't an obvious way to actually turn of/restart the phone. Holding down the power button brings up bixby instead of what would be a more intuitive function of turning off your phone. I don't even like using voice command options. I was glad that you can change how that button functions and immediately switched it to bringing up the power off options.
I really dislike the loss of a dedicated space for the home/back buttons. I find it much more cumbersome to keep having to swipe up to get them to appear on the screen. Sometimes they dissapear before I can select the option I want or I want to go back sevewral times and have to swipe up then back the swipe up again then back and repeat till I've gone back as many times as I wanted.
I really dislike the fingerprint reader. I've put in four different fingers and it can never seem to read any of them. Almost everytime, I end up having to swipe right and entering my pattern instead after trying again and again to read a fingerprint. Apparently my small hands have small fingers that can't cover the entire sensor pad, even my thumb! When I was setting them up I should have known it would be problematic since it took a good hour to get enough decent reads of my fingerprint. If you have small hands or fingers don't bother with the fingerprint reader.
It's a much better processor on this phone than my S7 and it makes doing many things much quicker and easier whether it's watching a video, playing a game, doing things in on-line classes, accessing various apps, lightly editing pictures and video, etc...
I went with the 22+ because it seemed a good mix between the better battery life and the features. I didn't care about all the extra camera stuff which seems to be the biggest difference in the S22 Ultra, but I wouldn't have minded the S pen built in. If you're not in need of all the extra fancy camera stuff the 22+ offers better battery life than the 22 and if you like it, a larger screen. If you don't need either of those you're probably better off with the S22 (no + or ultra).
Is it better than the S21? I have no idea. Is it better than my S7, yes, in most ways. Is it worth the price? My guess is that if you already have an S21 you probably shouldn't upgrade. If you have the S20, it's probably still not worth the upgrade if you're phone is still functioning well. Older than the S20, it might be worth it to upgrade if the new features are important to you or if you're battery is no longer good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Solid Phone from Samsung

Had an iPhone 7 and it was time for an upgrade. Recently got the new Tab S8 Ultra and then got the S22. Solid, snappy phone with efficient features but I find it slightly lacking in battery. Heavy gaming obviously drains it very quickly but for normal operations I find it depletes a little faster than it should. 5G is super fast, size is perfect, screen is super bright outside even with sunglasses on in direct sunlight and also gets super dark at night for reading. Having the two Samsung devices talk to each other and share connections is very nice and makes college a little easier. My only complaint is the battery is a little lacking, other than that, I am very happy with this phone.
