Downgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Other than the cameras this phone is a total downgrade from my S9+. If my phone company did not tell me it would stop working by December I never would have bought it for such a ridiculous price...no headphones or charging block either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm a long time Samsung phone guy. I got rid of my s20 because it was dying very fast and starting to lag. Got the s22 and it is by far the worst phone I've ever had from Samsung. It doesn't hold battery charge at all. It gets very hot very easily. Doesn't charge fast at all and if you use it while it is charging it will not charge at all. I'm not a iPhone person what so ever but I'm really debating changing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Miss some old features

It has definitely upgraded the camera to something way better like night mode and the zoom to see the moon; I love that. Everything else is as good as it was except the biggest downside and the highest annoyance; they took away the led indicator to show that he have a text waiting. It will flash once received but if you weren't on your phone or couldn't hear the notification, then there is no repeated light signal to show you have something waiting to be seen. That's a major flaw when you work in a noisy factory. I can not longer glance at my closed screen to see if there's an important response to a text for me, I literally have to unlock the screen to see a tiny notification icon at the top of the screen. Camera flash does me no good as it only flashes the one time when you receive a text and I don't tend to put my phone face down as it will scratch the screen. So for all the updates, then taking that one thing away aggravated me the most and makes me miss my S8+.

Gets too hot, and frame-rate drops

This phone gets too hot too easily. Also, when it starts to get hot, when I stream videos, the frame-rate drops a lot. This is a downgrade from the S21, unfortunately.

Battery life

I brought this S22+ a few weeks ago. Not a fan of the volume and vibration are so light you barely hear them. The battery life was a problem until I was informed to use the cord that came with the phone and not my old charger, because the old charger drains the battery. Now my charge last all day.

BATTERY LIFE IS SHOCKING + NO AUX + NO SD

I have been using Samsung phones since the Galaxy series started and used to swear by them but this is phone is a massive disappointment. DONT BUY IT ! as the features that make it worth buying are no longer there (no AUX connector no SD card slot, and it doesn't even come with a charger (you have to pay extra for that). I got this phone as an upgrade to my S10 but it actually feels like a downgrade, the only good thing is the design but I put it in a case so that's pointless. I booted my old s10 up side by side with the s22 and the s10 started up quicker. The battery lasted longer on a 3 year old s10 then on a 2 week old s22 it's just massively disappointing the camera seems marginally better but i dont take many pictures and i feel the wide angle camera on my old s10 was much better (wider). If I could do it over again I'd go for one of the competition or see of I could get a brand new s10 as honestly this phones Battery life is just laughable.
Lastly my friend has a Pixel 6 Pro and in my opinion the camera is better on it the sound from the speakers is also better on the pixel 6 Pro and the battery life is much much much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad battery life, screen cracked in a soft fall

So disappointed in this phone. I've been a Samsung customer for over a decade and this phone has the worst battery life.
Apparently the screen cracks easily, too? I dropped mine today on soft dirt, and the screen shattered. I had the Samsung clear case with kickstand on. So it was either the case being weak or the phone screen shatters easily.
I took my phone to a shop to get it repaired today, and a lady there had the same phone, same case, and the same thing happened when she dropped her phone inside her home.
I'm so disappointed that I paid full price for this phone and it's not at all good.
