[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Charge 5 Wifi iss great speaker. The Wi-Fi feature works as advertised. I linked it with my Amazon music account and it played with no issues when I got a call. It has other music streaming apps to choose from. Pandora isn't one of them, but I was able to cast it to my Charge 5 wifi. The sound quality is good. The JBL one app helps with adjusting the sound to your personal preference. And setting up the wifi connection. The speaker is really waterproof. I took it tubing down the springs and it dropped in the water and swept away and it worked find afterwards. The speaker is great. I use when I'm outback grilling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker packs a punch! It is small enough to carry just about anywhere, but the sound is huge! It’s that crystal clear sound JBL is known for along with big bass! It’s waterproof which makes it perfect for the beach or by the pool in the backyard. Sudden rain storm? No problem! The battery stays charged what seems like forever and the charge port is so handy for charging up my phone! It also has party boost if you want to connect it to other speakers. Love love love!

Piece of junk !!!

This is a trash speaker. One of the worst speakers JBL ever has. I had other JBL speakers in the past, all of them I encountered problems in different scenarios (conectivity problems, battery problems, cracks and pops...). This Charge 5 wifi has serious problems when connecting either bluetooth or wifi. This thing just doesn't work at all. It works once and after I shut down and start over again it won't be discoverable by wifi, bluetooth and even the app and I have to always factory reseting in a loop. JBL PLEASE RELEASE FINAL PRODUCTS ONCE AND FOR ALL !!! All your products are garbage unfinished products. Big shame on you JBL !!! This is my LAST jbl product and return to trusty almighty Sony.

Garbage.

I bought this piece of junk charge 5 a little over a month ago. It doesn't sound good, battery life is 3-4 hours and now it won't shut off. The reset isn't working. They don't cover the charger port either. My old charge 4 blows the charge 5 away.

Thanks for your feedback, our JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi has up to 20 hours of battery life. This may vary depending on volume and music content. If the speaker doesn't meet the advertised playtime hours even at low to mid-volume levels, there could be a problem with the battery of the unit. Also if your unit is not turning off please try this troubleshooting step : While not charging press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact our Customer Support, so we can assist you.

NO PARTYBOOST!!

Went to buy it for party boost and it does not support it. I do not use wi-fi because I'm outside in my shop and the wi-fi does not work in the shop. I'm sure its a fine product. Just not for me and the box should have said something about not working for party boost.

Thank you for your feedback. Our JBL Charge 5 WiFi does not support the PartyBoost feature. However, you can connect two JBL Charge 5 WiFi speakers using the JBL One App to create a stereo sound. In contrast, our standard JBL Charge 5 does feature PartyBoost.

Great Bluetooth speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using this speaker around house and outside.the sound is awesome.i like the separate woofer and tweeter combos coming out on high end speakers nowadays.much fuller and better sounding.40 watts pushing these combos are plenty to make great sounds.i have a issue with Bluetooth range on this speaker.only 30 feet with no obstacles in way.so you have to be close to it or leave phone next to it moving around.i have others that stay connected with much more range.i can't test the wifi part of this as I don't have ability to.plenty of battery life.portability is a little tough as no straps or handles but have case so not big deal.controls are all easy to use.overall very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Charge 5 is an awesome speaker. I like the wireless feature, it connects to the JBL app easily to join my wireless network. I can cast from apps on my phone (primarily YouTube Music), instead of connecting to Bluetooth which is always a pain. It has top notch sound like all JBL products, rich bass, clear mids and highs. I also like that it will charge my phone so it doesn’t die on me. Great speaker, highly recommend.

Great speaker! I’ve been searching for a couple of years for a portable speaker that supports airplay and has the right mix of bass, sound quality and portability. This is the one. Great sound, can get really loud and it’s easy to throw in the car.
