Good PC!

I decided to upgrade my PC and decided on the Nimo AI 9 HX370. Great computer and value compared to the large PC makers. Take a look at their website and decide for yourself, you won't go wrong!

Excellent for software development.

(Update: I ended up returning it because it would randomly die. No BSOD, no errors, no dump files. Just straight to "off". A shame, because I really liked everything about it.)
I'm a software engineer and a gamer. I've always purchased gaming laptops with beefy GPUs that can handle both activities well.
However, I've been getting tired of the short battery life, extra weight, and large charging bricks. When I'm programming, I often like to move around the house to different spots, and my old gaming laptop wasn't very convenient for my nomadic tendencies.
This laptop is perfect for me. It's pretty light considering its screen size, gets good battery life, and can plug in anywhere I have a USB-C charger (which is everywhere I typically sit).
The processor powers through large solution builds with ease. It's an absolute beast. The keys feel great to type on. The screen looks good and can get pretty bright when needed.
It obviously doesn't run games as well since it has an integrated GPU. But for an iGPU, it's pretty impressive. I can run Warframe on medium settings with FSR enabled and get a steady 60 FPS.
For more graphically-intensive games, I can use in-home streaming to my PC.
Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with how much quality hardware you get for the price.

My last laptop was an Alien gaming computer. This one is faster and I have had no issues running anything with this. For the price Im not sure anything else even comes close

Not stable for me
on October 27, 2025

I intended to use it for linux programming.
I installed debian linux on it, started to work great.
All graphics/audio/bluetooth/wifi worked from the start.
But then i had a total freeze, and another one. Each time I had to powercycle the unit, restart it and that would repeat over and over.
I finally installed text only (so no graphics) environment.
I let it run memtest86+ , that passed without any problems.
Then I started compiling the linux kernel and it kept freezing up on me all the time.
As soon as something CPU intensive is being used, it freezes up solid.
Unworkable for me. For reference: I also have a nimo N153B which is rock solid with the same workload/environment. It is just this combination that is totally unstable for my setup. Hence I returned it.

I like it but BIOS options are limited. Also RAM is running at 4800 MT/s

The RAM isn't running at advertised speed, and BIOS has limited options. Other than that everything is as advertised.

Immediate issues with the equipment

The laptop is brand new, yet I鈥檓 already experiencing serious issues. It frequently freezes shortly after startup, and within about 10 minutes of use it becomes completely unresponsive. At times, the screen goes black and the system again becomes unusable. This has made the device unreliable right from the start

Excellent for AI

I have a loaded Nimo N178 AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX with a 3-extra monitor setup (4 monitors total) and a thunderbolt-connected, externally powered Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti "eGPU". Couldn't be happier. The laptop does benefit from an aftermarket cooler as all the AMD kit can produce some heat. The external Nvidia capability (not Nimo of course) sealed the deal. The AMD NPU was just a bonus. I love Nimo so much, I purchased 2 additional N171 "basic" laptops for family members that do normal laptop stuff. 17.3 inch screen is nice. No experience gaming on my N178 as playing with AI locally while monitoring the market on a couple of those extra screens was my focus.
