[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this when my son got COVID and it has greatly helped him. He recovered nicely, but has gotten pneumonia since. I learned to always keep this running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this last month and our family has seen an improvement in air quality already. Our kids congestion issues have almost fully gone away and my air sensors show dramatically better air quality.
This thing is a piece of crap. Impossible to connect with the App. Wifi does not work for connecting the App.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello, we really apologize for the issue with your Sharp Smart Plasmacluster Ion Air Purifier with True HEPA for Extra Large Rooms (FXJ80UW). However, we would love the opportunity to provide you with further assistance and help resolve any concerns you may have. If you could please contact us at CRL@sharpsec.com or call us at 800-237-4277.
Compact footprint, good feature range, very quiet. The two-stage carbon + HEPA filtering is a nice touch. They refer to the back cover as a "washable, microscreen pre-filter" but with 1/2+ inch square openings, there is nothing "micro" about it. Smallest thing it will keep out is your Chihuahua.
Physical device setup was simple, but deducted a star for the horribly convoluted app pairing process which took 8-10 tries to complete. Problem is the unit is 2.4gHz wireless only and if you have 5-6gHz wireless (like about 99 percent of the users out there) you have to temporarily cripple your local network to the lower frequency during the pairing process. Sharp - it's time to bring your devices into the new millennium.
