GREAT on carpets, just OK on bare floors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum has become a staple in our cleaning lineup and works extremely well on carpets of all thicknesses, we have two large dogs both with long hair and this thing grabs it all. It does struggle a bit on bare floors and misses some of the smaller crumbs, but it still works well enough as we mop right after. The one big caveat is the beater bar, do NOT use this on any small/thin (entry way/hall way) rugs because the vacuum will suck up a corner and get the rug caught in the bar. I had one rug have the stitching ripped out from this. Also be cautious using it near low laying curtains because of this same issue. Otherwise, I'm pretty pleased with this vacuum.

The design is very sleek making it very visually pleasing. It is light weight and the swivel function makes it glide across the floor amazingly. My favorite feature is the upholstery tools. They make cleaning the stairs and couches a breeze.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a good vacuum line in my carpet! My previous vacuum was a Dyson DC50, which I have loved for MANY years. After using the Hoover Elite Swivel, I have come to a realization. Although my Dyson works great at getting the dirt, it wasn't making my carpet stand up like the Hoover does. I get awesome vacuum lines with the Hoover. It's also AMAZING with sucking up hair without it getting tangled in the brush. I love how big the dirt canister is. My only complaint are that the rear wheels are too big to get under some of my furniture, and also where the cord comes off the vacuum is low and it seems to always be under foot when vacuuming. Overall, great performing vacuum that I'm very happy with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hoover Elite Swivel Upright Vacuum gets into tight spaces that a Normal vacuum without the swivel feature wouldn't get. It's easy to turn on with the power button being on the bottom accessible with your foot. The benefits of this product are it cleans rugs and floors very well and deep. The pros of this model is that it has been able to collect more dust/hair then my old vacuum. The only negatives I noticed were that the swivel action makes like some sort of grinding noise when moving it a certain direction. Also it's pretty heavy in weight. This product is great if you have pets and dust bunnies! Definitely recommend this vacuum cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hoover Elite swivel exceed my expectations. It was easy to assemble and light weight for movement and storage. It quickly and powerfully vacuumed up dirt, pet hair and crumbs. I also used it on our living room rug and it worked beyond well. Emptying the waste container was simple and I love how the filter has easy instructions already on it so I won't forget how to clean it when the 3 months do come up. It's a reusable filter all that is needed is to wash let fully dry then replace. All attachments have a place on the backside of the vacuum. They all easily attach and suction power is still strong with all attachments. My Hoover products last me about 4 years and work exceptional the entire time.

The Hoover Elite Swivel Upright Vacuum handles even the hairiest of carpets! The compact and easy to use hose attachments, such as the brush tool, make cleaning upholstery and deep crevasses a breeze! I know plenty of other pet owners that need this vacuum and will definitely be telling them about it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first! A 5-year warranty! Most vacuums offer only a 1-3 year warranty. The warranty definitely got my attention! The telescopic extension wand is a very nice feature. The hose "clicks" in place. So, while you extend the the wand, the hose doesn't slide out of the vacuum. This is an annoyance with my current vacuum, which happens to be a Bissell. I have to mention that I did receive this complimentary for submitting an honest review. The warranty and the telescopic wand are incentive enough for me to choose this model and brand over my bissell vacuum. I do like the swivel feature; my other vacuum does not have this ability. Hoover just might be my new brand of choice when it comes to vacuum cleaners. Did I mention the 5-year warranty?
