[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just recieved this. We are a family of 5. We also own a dyson. We were actually impressed. Seems like the power of our dyson but without all of the attachments. Other than that, the vacuum seems more sturdy. The,only thing i would change is maybe some more attachments and an option to turn the brush off from spinning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hoover Elite fro Hoover/BzzAgent to test. I purchased a Dyson Animal 2 about 6 months ago so I used it as my comparison. The Hoover Elite was much easier to assemble, just pull out of the box and snap in the handle. We have 2 short haired dogs in the house so we collect dust and dog hair quickly and have to vacuum regularly. The first use of the Hoover Elite was just straight out of the box and vacuumed the living room carpet. It was very light and easy to adjust to the height of our carpet. First impression was "wow, that picked up a lot of dog hair!" After rthe first use I wanted to really test it versus our Dyson Animal 2. So i suppressed my urge to vacuum our living room carpet for 2 weeks and compared them head to head. I ensured that the Hoover canister was completely empty, even wiped it out with a paper towel. So I then vacuumed the entire living room with our Dyson Animal 2 and then immediately vacuumed it with the Hoover elite being sure to vacuum in the same direction as the Dyson. The Hoover still picked up a lot of dust/dirt and pet hair out of the carpet after the Dyson. Needless to say I was impressed. I won't completely give the win to the Hoover yet due to I would like to see how they compare 6 months to a year down the road but for first impressions it's a win. So at this point I'm going to give the Hoover 3 wins. Ease of Assembly - Hoover win Price Point - Hoover win Cleaning Power (first impression) - Hoover win So far it stands as Hoover 3, Dyson 0

I finally found a GREAT vacuum!

I spent quite a bit on my latest one, and I vacuum at least weekly, sometimes more. But to my surprise, this Hoover showed me just how second rate mine was! I did deep vacuuming...not a quick run over...with my vacuum, then I used my new Hoover just to try out how it swiveled, etc. To my surprise and horror, my new Hoover picked up SO.MUCH.DUST from floors that I thought were clean! Not only is it easy to use and maneuver, but it cleans deeper and more effectively than any vacuum I have had! I use it on my carpet, laminate, tile, and hardwood areas. And I am sold on Hoover now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hoover Elite Swivel Upright Vacuum is one of the best that I have ever used, It has excellent suction power and the tools are very versatile. I do not have carpets in my home but it worked wonderfully on my laminate and marble floors. The canister is very easy to clean and reattach. The attachment brush can be adjusted for hard-to-reach places, the bristles are very dense, flexible, and do not deform. The swivel action is better than my current Bissell vacuum. It is very cost-effective and not too bulky. The only thing I would change is that it does not have a retractable cord, but I still gave it a 5-star review because its other benefits outweigh the one drawback. I definitely recommend it to friends and family, as a matter of fact, my cousin is getting married and this is what I am buying her whether she likes it or not : )

Not only does it pick up floor debris so easily, but the swivel function makes cleaning large areas less of a chore. And it doesn't even take much effort to twist and turn the vacuum. It maneuvers from one side to the next rather seamlessly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] * heavier than our previous vacuum cleaner, but easier to push. * Please just as well as our last vacuum cleaner, seems to pick up everything. * suction seems to be a little better than our previous vacuum cleaner. * clogs in the hose seem easier to remove. * noise level is about the same as our last vacuum cleaner. * much more difficult to empty out dust receptacle the previous vacuum cleaner taking the top off leads to dust getting everywhere. My previous vacuum cleaner has a spring match for both the top and the bottom making it much easier to empty. * no pet hair attachment like my previous vacuum cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When looking for the right vacuum, i think it should be taken seriously... it is an investment! So we want to make sure we get the biggest bang for our buck and of course something that is going to last a long time! This vacuum has exceeded every one of my explications. It is on the heavy side, BUT it is NOT hard to push. Comes with different tools to use for surferses other than the floor. It has a washable filter and is bagless. The contents of the vaccum are removed with one push of a button. When it comes to suction... this vaccumm has a LOT of it! I would recomment this product to any and everyone. 10 out of 10 stars for me!
