[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is really nice for swiveling around and under things like furniture. It has a nice attractive design and is very easy to assemble. The only downfall I see is it doesn't seem to have super strong suction power like I expected. Also sometimes it swivels when you don't want it to. But overall it's a nice compact vacuum for smaller spaces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had a good, powerful (12amp) "windtunnel" Hoover for a few years. However, it has always been a hassle carrying it from one floor to the next in our three-level home. This new swivel Hoover vacuum is smaller and much lighter than our older one, making it MUCH nicer to move around. I was concerned at first that it wouldn't be as powerful as the old one (this swivel vacuum is only 8amps). I didn't need to be concerned--it cleans just as well or even better, and is SO much easier to maneuver in small halls/corners/etc. It IS loud in a shrill kind of way, but quieter in general than the old Hoover. I wear either noise cancelling headphones or the noise earmuffs you'd wear at a shooting range when I vacuum anyway, so noise is not important to me, and not something I feel capable of rating. This vacuum isn't quiet, but it's a vacuum--it's doing its job. Pros-- -agile -light, easy to carry -cleans our short carpets and wood floors VERY well -easy to empty dirt chamber -easy to access/clean filters Cons-- -Some noise, but it's a vacuum. Less loud than our other Hoovers have been. -I miss the auto-retracting cord on our other Hoover, but I understand that to make a vacuum light, some heavier features (like an auto-cord-retractor) have to be omitted from the design. All in all, we are delighted with this new Hoover. Its lightweight power and maneuverability make it SO much better to carry around and use than any of our older vacuums. Two thumbs up. And five stars. Well done, Hoover.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have marble flooring, tile, rugs and carpet in our home. While cleaning the tile floor, the vacuum was able to clean up all debris including the dirt that was in the grout when passing over. This tile is not smooth. When used on the slick marble flooring, the vacuum struggled even on the hardwood setting. It was able to suck up pet hair with ease but when it came to rice or small pieces of dirt, it took several passes. On the bathroom rugs, it was easier to use the attachment as the suction from the vacuum was too strong to clean it. The vacuum exceeded my expectations on the carpets. The visual satisfaction of the clear dirt container made cleaning fun as it sucked up even the smallest piece of sand with ease. As for the attachments, the white head worked great at dusting side tables, window, etc. The shorter attachment with the fabric strip was fantastic on couches and pet beds. It picked up all of the pet fur with ease! Upon cleaning our carpeted stairs, I came to the realization that the vacuum wouldn't work. The attachments were great but couldn't give me that deep clean I wanted. A motorized head with bristles would of made this vacuum excellent! Cleaning the physical vacuum was a breeze! Overall, it is a great basic vacuum. I would highly recommend it to users who have tile and carpet flooring!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the swivel feature it helped to navigate around furniture easily. I loved the cup vs bag as it was easy to empty and put back together quickly. I felt it cleaned pretty well, I was trying to vacuum pet hair, over all it cleaned pretty well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy using the Hoover Elite Swivel Upright Vacuum. I'm going to break this review down by features. - Chord length - The chord is nice and long! With my old vacuum I would get annoyed because I was either pulling the plug out of the outlet or having to stop what I'm doing to change to a closer outlet just to finish a room. With the Hoover I was able to do an entire room & sometimes start into another room without having to change outlets. - Hose/tools - I have two small dogs and children who are constantly in and out so having a durable hose is important for me to have to help clean those hard to reach area's. The hose feels like a great quality and made my dusting a lot easier. The Hoover also has an awesome feature where you can lower the suction of the hose which I found very helpful when vacuuming my rugs. The swivel feature gives this edge to edge suction which maximizes the pickup of hair and dirt in the tight corners of the walls and harder to reach area's. - Weight - It's not the lightest vacuum I've ever owned but it's definitely not too heavy. It has just enough weight to feel like it's built to last and it has amazing suction power that you can feel when pushing it. - Hardwood/tile - There are a lot of vacuums that say they're good for hardwood & tile floors - I have never been impressed with their abilities and opted for a broom and dust pan - Today the Hoover did an amazing job even on the non carpet areas of the house. I'm pretty pumped to not have to sweep around dirt anymore! .. The bottom line is I'm very impressed with this vacuum. I am happy to say this vacuum does an amazing job! The amount of dirt, dander, and fur it picked up really surprised me!!

This Vacuum Really Sucks - That's a Good Thing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a long-time Hoover user and was pleasantly surprised to see that their attention to detail and quality have not suffered over time. This is a great bagless vacuum cleaner with a twist... literally. I recently tried my in-laws' Dyson ball vacuum and thought this one was much easier to control. Surprisingly, it had much better suction as well. Below are the pros and cons that I've noticed after using the vacuum in my first week of ownership. Pros: Tool-free assembly, quick assembly (under 5 minutes), lightweight, excellent suction power for floors and through hose, effective brush agitation, easy accessory/hose storage, silent rubber-coated wheels on hard floors, easy to empty canister, onboard filter cleaning instructions under canister, swivel control, intuitive accessory connectivity, comfortable handle, washable filter, relatively quiet operation compared to other vacuums I've used in the past, a good flat mode for reaching under tables Cons: Different mechanism for releasing vacuum with the "step and recline" method versus a step-on button in the back. It took some getting used to, but I grew to like it the more I used it. No auto-rewind for the cord. Cord management confusing. There are various places to click in the cord, but I'm unsure the best way to do it and it wasn't in the manual either. No low handle for vacuuming on stairs. The accessory hose seems a bit tight and slightly shorter than I'm used to. The height adjustment knob is a little tough to operate. No light for dark areas. No show-stoppers on this list for me. Overall, I'm very pleased with this vacuum and would definitely recommend it for purchase.
