heavy duty yet light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Hoover Elite Swivel Upright for a few weeks, I now realize that I hate my old vacuum. The Hoover is super heavy duty and perfect for my multi pet and kid home. The roller and roller casing is HUGE meaning which allows for some heavy duty pick up without risking damaging the vacuum. The window is large and goes all the way back so you can see if anything is jammed in there (ever vacuumed up a sock?) The clear hose is super helpful for when that sock is jammed in the hose and you need to know how to get it out safely. I think one of my favorite features is the swivel part. It's super easy to maneuver around furniture and toys. The collection bin is HUGE and easy to dump with one hand. I LOVE that I don't have to take this thing apart after every use. My old vacuum had all kind of filters and you had to take stuff apart in order to get to them which ended up leaving a mess. This vacuum is idiot proof. It tells you if you have the filter in wrong and has permanent instructions on how and when to clean the main filter. The attachments are pretty standard with a brush and crevice.

Powerful Upright with the right amount of features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, we were very happy with the construction of the vacuum and felt like it was durable enough to last nearly daily vacuuming (dogs). We have a 50/50 mix of hardwood and rugs and although would have preferred the transition knob closer to the handle for ease of transition, it did work flawlessly. it did have some weight behind it, which we forgot about since we were coming from a cordless stick, but the wheels made push/pull pretty easy.

I love the handheld attachments that make it easy to clean smaller areas and furniture. I was amazed at how full of dirt the canister was after vacuuming my entire house, the swivel feature is very convenient when going around corners too. Very nice vacuum!

It is heavy as it is xl, but still it glides easily and smoothly across our laminate, hard wood and carpeted floors. Best of all, the pick up is amazing! Lately, I have been using robot vacuums for all types of floors and they do a decent job. And when I tried this vacuum in the area which was vacuumed by the robot, I could still see that this Hoover vacuum was picking something. This vacuum looks big and heavy, but very easy to move around the house for cleaning. Cord is long enough. It can go under couches and tilts on sides, as well.

It leaves a clean smell behind after vacuuming. It swivels effortlessly is a big plus also. Pet hair also is not a big problem for this vacuum to eradicate. It picks up deeply embedded hair and dirt from carpet and rugs. It also does a flawless job on floors! I love this vacuum!
